also not a surprise this russian rookie backup is stopping virtually everything, intentional or lucky. the rangers get one clean good look and score. lather. rinse. repeat. - hammarby31
We keep shooting low I don't get it he seems good side to side we need to elevate it's wide open |

Couturier definitely exceeded expectations. Not surprised by Voracek. Point wise Gostisbehere is not a surprise. I'm pleased he has progressed in other areas of his game this season. Patrick and Konecny are doing well. A lot of the growth of the young players can be attributed to Hakstol's ability to guide and develop young players. He has done an outstanding job with that. - MJL

They played a good period, but need to bury some of those chances. |

Yeah, the Rangers are a mess in their own zone. Goaltending is the only thing bailing them out right now. |

They did but if you don’t convert could be the lucky goal that defeats them.
Thought they played really well, except the 2 on 1 and that non save by Lyon |

I wasn't a Hinkie disciple but I understood his reasoning.
But seriously, I at least know what I'm getting out of the Sixers on a nightly basis. Flyers I just close my eyes and hope for the best. At least for this month. |

me either. seems like a game they could dominate 40 shots to 25 and lose 3-1. |

They're just a well coached team. It's uncommon for a team that young to be that good. Brown has done an amazing job squeezing so much offense out of team without a legit pick and roll PG.
They'll probably struggle in the playoffs and the mutants will complain. |

They had a lot of shots but the rangers had far too much zone time. And it's still 1 1. To me this is as close to a must win game as it gets and didn't seem to have urgency to me. |

I don't want to throw him under the bus as a player but he isn't playing like a guy I have much interest in re-signing tbh. |

Flyers biggest issue that period was puck management. Provorov had a number of turnovers that led to attack time for the Rangers. He needs to clean it up.

I thought they played pretty good as well....bad goal against and missed some golden opportunities, but a good period....can’t have a let down in the second.

the top 2 lines are creating chances. they're going to have to win the game for them..or some offense from the D. that's as good a first period as they've had in a while and yet they're tied.
hopefully they just keep going and win this outright. |
