Ppl are comparing his cocky attitude to that of Manziel,
not his throwing

- jdfitz77

I don't see wanting to win and defending team mates as a cocky attitude

If he was 2 inches taller he is the QB I would want them to draft

It's his attitude not his gaming

But I'm hopeful he's going to be that Philip Rivers kind

- gerbe75pts

I get that.

I was then adding to his stellar all round performance, that the concern about being A JM is complete BS.

I’m not there, but continuous reports from reporters point to it being a country club.

Hence why I stated in the past blog that that roster needs to turn over significantly...there are well paid players that don’t have an once they f leadership in them..some are not championship material ... weak minded, fragile, etc.
But 5 months later the team is rudderless, lost and last in the league.
It is more than a lack of talent.

Edit, fixed an autocorrect

- IonSabres

it started with roy, staff and tinkle boy closing down bars and vanek playing cards until the morning skate

I think the lack of leadership in the room, helped lead to skunk's funk to start the year

No, his off field issue, not issues.

He's had what one ? It's his attitude that people are comparing

Like his suck my d!ck , putting the flag in the middle of the field, throwing a ball at someone's head

Breese, Wilson. They find ways to be super accurate by adjusting in the pocket to find the throwing lanes.

Every QB in this class has flaws of some sort.
I want the guy who has consistently been the most accurate over the long night and short term.

(frank)ing love it all, every bit of it.
For once we get a fiery guy who wants to win and jam it down everyone’s throat doing so.
Go get Baker Mayfield...sit back, enjoy the SB’s

That's pretty rich coming from a Raiders fan. The past 30 years haven't been kind to your team. The Raiders have 1 winning season since 2003. And 4 since 1995.

Even the Bills have managed 7.

Oh ... I'm quite aware. I actually walked out of the Super Bowl in the third quarter in 2002 when we played the Bucs.

They don’t put enough premium on the intangibles when evaluating players.
They bring in highly skilled, but mentally soft players.
JBotts gets it IMO, the Wilson and Nolan acquisitions were low cost adds to infuse some semblance of accountability.
I look forward to watching him retool this team now that he has had a year to become very knowledgeable in what he has here and what he doesn’t

That was a weak attempt.

Should have been

I do understand that the height of QB’s has been cited as a concern for those who are shorter than the desired range. However, there have been several highly successful QB’s who were/are on the short side of the scale, as evidenced by Drew Brees and Russell Wilson, to name just two (2) who are playing now.

In the case of Baker Mayfield, he has proven to be highly accurate with throws in and out of the pocket. He has demonstrated an ability, evidenced on game film, that he moves in the pocket to find throwing lanes to place the ball where the receiver can not only make the catch, but also gain additional yardage (yac) once caught.

He is a highly competitive player and plays with an edge. Some may balk at this, feeling he is cocky. However, his teammates respect him, like him and take his direction.

I don’t think they teach this in those far-left wacky California colleges though...just how to insult and berate, using a heavy does of sarcasm to infuriate other debaters, then call them haters for not agreeing with outlandish statements.
Politics boy, you are going to be great.
