I guess what's depressing with them likely to miss the playoffs, those picks are wasted on the rentals and they'll likely get a 12-15 pick. Meaning likely another year of mediocrity and no quick fix unless Shero somehow signs Tavares or trades for Karlsson and something insane like that.

Well when you face lots of high quality chances there are going to be games where you give up lots of goals. Wanting to trade or bench Cory doesn't solve any problem.

I was a bit tongue in cheek about trading him, mostly cause it's not like they have better options and there has to be hope he gets back to form. Devils don't have much of a choice.

The fact that Devils are 10 games over .500 YET their 6M a year goalie hasnt won in last 11 going on 12 speaks volumes on the fact he clearly is a worthless piece of crud!!
