Stop watching so much porn. Those pop ups will go away. Be like MiB and watch Love Boat re runs.

Remember that episode where the guy met the girl at the start, and then they fell in love by the time they got to Mazatlan, but then they got in that misunderstanding about the time the boat got to Puerto Vallarta, but then one of the crew of the Love Boat helped them realize that they were perfect for each other around the time they got to Acapulco?

Go eat a random sub, fat boy. - gergeswillems
I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. Here. Let me buy you a random sub. I'll put it on my credit card. I just paid it off. I choose to rent my subway membership instead of buy. It saves me money in the long run.

Vaguely. But I recall there being a breast pump or was that the commercial?
I just drove across Canada, from Alberta to Nova Scotia, and I drove past the Canadian Tire Centre on the way. I've never spend time in Ottawa myself, but the rink was directly right beside the Trans Canada Highway, and looked to have an absolutely massive parking lot.
Not sure how that is a bad location? I stopped in Montreal to see the Habs vs Pens on Thursday night, and I had to drive through nightmare traffic into the downtown core, where everyone was driving 30 above the limit, meanwhile I'm trying to find out which of the 700 off ramps to take. I finally get downtown and had to pay 25 dollars to park for the game and then sat for an hour after the game waiting to get out of the parking garage.
Maybe downtown locations are great for those who live downtown and can walk to the game, but for the majority of hockey fans who are NOT downtown hipster pinko skinny jean types, the rink is better served in a location easy to access by vehicle and with parking.

You're not sure how a rink that takes an hour to get to on a cold winter night is a bad location?

Dude that's a dream!!
All these other stupid NHL cities have downtown arenas close to bars, transit, hotels, restaurants - golfingsince
Wings have lots of bars and restaurants inside the arena but no team. Wings fans can at least eat and drink their miseries away. I might start using an Atomic breast pump myself as I watch Love Boat re runs . If the Wings get Dahlin I'll get nips as hard as coat hangers. I better prepare. It's not like I have the playoffs to worry about.

Nobody except Detroit fans is upset that you suck now. You had a 20-ish year run.

That's not too shabby, yet fans refuse to support the team.
What the frank do the fans want?
You want to be an NHL city, you need to quit whining about NHL ticket prices.
Shut the frank up, put on your big boy pants and buy a ticket or two. - Atomic Wedgie
Ticket prices aren't too bad. My buddy & I go to 2-3 games a year, and one game for every round of playoff we happen to make it in. Yes, concession food is steeply priced ($4.50 hot dogs and $12.50 beers), but all sports venue are like that. The location isn't friendly to 1/2 the city, so centralizing it at Le Breton should mitigate that a bit, assuming they can get the transit to work right (light rail).
What killed attendance last year was Phoenix (gov't pay system). People underestimate its effect big time. Ottawa's a gov't town with a 1M ppl population. When the employees of the town's biggest employer don't know if they'll be paid from paycheck to paycheck, it affects one's discretionary spending.
What killed morale this season (IMHO) was not just the owner, but what trades and signing they did early on. Exposing Methot was a bad move that killed Karlsson's best-matched partner, his ankle surgery didn't help, and not resigning Turris was a bad move. Sure we got Duchesne but I feel Turris was a great guy to have in the locker room, as well as off ice.
Duchesne now seems to start fitting in, and now we'll see what they do come July 1st (Karlsson). Just my 2-cents.
My thoughts are now with Karlsson and his wife for their recent loss (unborn son).
It has about the same chance of working that the change.org petition to force MLB to make Nutting sell the Pittsburgh Pirates created the day they traded Andrew McCutcheon...ZERO!!!
The only effect it had was that my e-mail address got sold and now I get poop from every unwanted source.
