for fans it comes down to two things: production and entertainment. and he provided both in large quantities. we were told he had to be traded because he was a problem and theoretically, the team would be better without him. well two years in, most of those teammates who supposedly hated him have embarrassed themselves and the organization with one of the worst seasons the organization has ever had, while Subban is following up a Cup finals appearance with a Norris contending season for a team that will win the President's Trophy and be a favourite to win the Cup.

it's not looking great pete.

If you think for one minute that Subban could or would have solved this team's woes this year, you're delusional.

Anyway, I've wasted enough oxygen on that show boat.

Good riddance, are my parting words.

i don't think that for a minute. this team is a disaster from top to bottom. my point was more that the organization finding him an unsuitable player says a lot more about the organization than it does about Subban. this is type of decision making that has dominated Marc Bergevin's tenure as GM and a big reason why, 6 years into that tenure, this organization is a dumpster fire.

Yes, now that he's in Nashville, he's clearly become an underrated not-slewfooting quiet humble and respectful player that is not scared to drop'em.

If you want to compare organizations or the stupidly of the current GM, that’s another topic.

You make it sound like they got nothing in return, they got one hell of a defenceman that brings way more than subban ever will.

On and off the ice and especially in the dressing room.

I can only imagine subban after a win in the dressing room, probably dancing around like one of the (frank)ing Pointer sisters.

Ok I’m done.

Well two of the most important stats for a DMan, are goals and assists, so you have him there. And my view on +/- is well known.

Bottom line - shut up.

he's well on the wrong side of 30 years old. the remainder of his contract will give me lots of good thread reading on here for years to come.

Time to give Big Bird a call, he finished his career with a +722.
