I'm not sure what that means.

I want Kreider and Zib and everyone else to channel their inner Cody McLeod / Paul Carey for the rest of the season!

So when is the Seattle expansion draft? 2020?

Got me thinking we don't want a bunch of these prospect making the team next year. Could get a bit tricky.

"Yeah, so I called Chayka and he says OEL still isn't available. Looks like there's no market at all for top-4 defensemen guys. 11am tee time?"

He will do something good during the offseason like get a 1st and 2nd for Clutterbuck, which will save him so he can take the rest of the year off.

Garth is good with trades during the offseason, they should get a GM for when the season actually starts. But for Rangers fans entertainment they should give him a lifetime GM spot

Nick Leddy is a horrendous -36 this season, nobody else on the Islanders is even close to that number, what the heck is up with that, he's one of Garth's best trades

I think that's more a function of them riding him in all 3 situations because A) the defense was bad to begin with and B) a lot of guys went down. While Boychuk and de Haan were both out, he was just about the only actual NHL defenseman on the roster. They drove him into the ground.

Chiefs??

Their defense has been atrocious this year. Might venture to say worse than ours. I know Boychuck being injured for 81 1/2 games probably doesn't help, but yeah, not sure what happened to Leddy.

usually when you see a player with a minus 36, there are other players on the team with that kind of number, it's amazing looking at Islander stats and seeing him a -36 and Hickey a +14

Nothing about them makes sense. I also don't put a ton of stock in +/-, but obviously when you see a number like that...something is wrong. Leddy drew all the toughest assignments and is probably exhausted at this point. Hickey plays against the bargain-bin guys

and also, you don't get a plus when you are on for a powerplay goal and I am sure Leddy's point total is loaded with PP points

Not as much as you might think, actually. 14 PP points out of 40 total.

looks like Tampa not putting McDonagh on powerplay at all, him and Girardi their top pairing killing penalties. Over 5 minutes apiece killing penalties yesterday

Hedman and Sergachev getting most of the powerplay time
