Good weekend, good win. Hope it carries over.
Amac had a fantastic game. He's actually had a great season overall.
I could watch Ghost step into shots all day. When he's able to step into one cleanly, it's gonna end up in the net.
Glad Lindblom finally got rewarded. He'd done everything BUT finish, so hopefully they start coming for him now.
Own up, who placed the voodoo hex on Coots? I have my suspects ("hey guru") about who cursed Shutdown Seanie, but man, the guy couldn't buy a goal with all of the gold in Yukon Cornelius' grave.
Hope TK is okay. He said he's be "on the ice at practice" today but his hand worries me.
If this team can play like they did yesterday from here on out, they should at least land a WC spot.
Edit: If it comes down to needing 1-2 points on the last day...it's against NYR, at home, in the afternoon. I wouldn't want to risk a shootout again, though. So let's just lock up a spot with 1-2 games to spare. |

That would be my guess. It would be cool to see maybe Martel Or NAK called up, but where we’re at in the season and already having Weal + TK in lineup, I think you gotta choose Lehterä with his size and familiarity. With him and Read both avail for PK, may have fresher legs for PK shifts. |

Bring back Goulbourne. Team needs grit/sandpaper |

2 hard fought wins which was good to see. Still much work to be done. Playoffs would be good for the team moving forward. Time to take the next step. At this point if they miss it will be very disappointing.
Some observations/ thoughts.
1. if they miss does Ronald fire the coach?
2. Will they resign manning?
3. time to move on from read and the like. Next year you waive dale or eat half and get a 7th rd pick. Both can easily be done.
4. do not buy out lehtera. ride it out.
What do they do in goal? Elliot is back 100% imo. Trade or buyout glass joe? Keep the new guy? Elliot lyon tandem?
I imagine one of lyon or stolarz will be gone. |

It's so mental. He franked up the open net opportunity. |

It's not mental. It's some weird gypsy curse someone placed om him for confirmation bias, so they can say, "He's not a 30-goal scorer" come next season. |

I originally thought Mrazek would be resigned but maybe Lyon could earn the back up role next season. He had a solid boston game and played pretty well in the Carolina game.
I am still not 100% sure but I am starting to think they could go into next season like this:
18-19
Flyers: Elliott/Lyon
Phantoms: Hart/Stolarz
19-20
Flyers:Elliott(1 year deal)?/Hart
Phantoms: Sandstrom/Stolarz?
20-21
Flyers: Hart
I don't know. But if Lyon plays well it could maybe lead to him being a back up next season. |

They'll say it anyway because "sure, he scored 30 goals, BUT a real 30 goal scorer is consistent and doesn't have huge goalless slumps."
They'll also say it because they are richards. |

I suspect he will be back in. I would hope for Nicolas Aube-Raffl, but I'll bet they will roll with what they have. |

its realistic that could happen. That being said if they make the playoffs do they want to roll with those 2 in goal next year? A lot will depend on lyon (whats his contract status?)
20-21 could also see elliot back as the "mentor"

I thought TK was done after the first block. Then he came back and did another and I wanted to crawl into a corner of the suite. Then he got in the fight and I was like He's done. Then he came back again. Such a tough little (frank)er.
I missed Ghost's snipe... stupid rental fee for enjoying the weekend.
Lindblom's shot was a beauty.
