I don't know if Seguin has cleaned up his act, but let's just say he has a pretty strong history of not being the type of player that Lou and Shanny would want. - Atomic Wedgie
He'd probably have to spend the summer under a tattoo removal laser if Lou is still around. |

I can't believe both fans spend that much money on a sign... How much $$ did Spatso chip in? - PatC80
They won't spend money on the commute to their rink but they have no problem spending money on a billboard lol |

The no beard/haircut thing is a tad extreme. It's clearly put in place to make sure Marner isn't made fun of. |

It's why Laine refused to come to Toronto - told the Leafs not to draft him. |

Leafs' magic number for locking down #3 is at 11.
Any combination of Leaf points and Panthers points not earned totaling 11 solidifies our position.
Put another way:
If the Panthers win their remaining 13 games, the Leafs only have to go 5-4-1.
(Note: at 10 points, it goes to various tie-breaker formulas - too soon to predict who would win them). |

I was told it was a combo of that, and he only really wanted to live in the big cirty of Winepeg. |

Dude's a huge biodiversity fan.
He wanted to live in the only ecosystem on earth that is frozen solid 8 months of the year, unlivable due to swarms of bugs 4 months of the year. |

How do YOU know they arent at 100%?
We are 6th in the league in points....we have at least 2-3 "hopes" in the playoffs.
True, they cannot move up or down in the standings, but who is to say Andersen comes back to get a couple of games under his belt and then his rested for a couple?
Or
Maybe he likes the workload....maybe he needs it to stay sharp? - Fakepartofme
I think that's absolutely the way it is. And that's probably the reason he's a slow starter to start the year. He needs to get into a grove.
So get him back in and get him into a grove going into the playoffs. |

A lot of people think this is overstated. It is absolutely NOT. I spent a lot of my youth in Manitoba and Kenora. Holy poop are the mosquitoes a nightmare out there.
There is a reason you see this on every street at night:

The media driven hysteria about the Leafs having to pay these young players big money early on and being up hard against the cap is complete hogwash. I tend to tune out talking heads that likely can't do simple math without their phones.
If the Leafs want to keep JVR and he takes a small haircut they can sign him.
I say move on from JVR, Bozak and Komorov. Sign Tavares, trade Kadri and whamo. |

Leafs have no centre prospects that's the issue.
If you get Tavares you can run (theoretically) Matthews-Tavares-Kadri and then do what Pittsburgh does and have the revolving door of youthful wingers on the cheap (theoretically). - AdamFrench
Matthews
Kadri
Nylander (after Bozak departs)
Pleks/Moore
Or Keep Bozie and use him as a 4th line utility guy. Maybe draft another C? Either way there's no concern or need to go sign a guy like JT. You'd be messing with the chemistry of the team. AM is the man in TO and who knows ifs egos would clash.
Leafs are deep down the middle. Makes no sense to me to bring in another guy who'll make 10mil+ before even knowing what our current players we demand. |

Why in the the world of swirly twirly gum drops would we trade Kadri? Going to replace his 30 goals with less then 4.5m somewhere else? |
