Leafs have 4 wins in a row - TheMussel
I hope marner and jvr don’t cool off when Matthews gets back. They showed marner up an average of 2 and a half mins a game without Matthews. He looks good with the extra time. |

Shanaplan won't sign Seguin....book it. - Garnie
He's the better option over JT...faster...just as skilled. |

That may be, but you sign JT for sure if you have the chance IMO. You dont know if Seguin will resign before you get a chance to talk to him. Also, I think JT is a better leader/player. |

Considering its known that Andersen plays better when he sees more pucks. I'll go with the latter! - LeafGuy89
Well we dont know that it is "known".....its just that he hasnt had a choice... |

No way does Ottawa let Craig Anderson go to their biggest rival! - AdamFrench

Matthews better not ruin the teams chemistry like Sundin did during that series with the canes when he returned.
Just kidding....of course he wont. |

They decided they needed a first line D and traded us Anderson(50% retained), and a first, for Polak, and Rich Clune. |

Can't wait for the Golden Knights to look like

Perron-Tavares-Tatar
Glass-Seguin-Suzuki
Eakin-Haula-Tuch
Schmidt-Doughty

Come on now man. This is progress.
UG is now suggesting there is room for hope in the playoffs with Andersen and Matthews rested and healthy. Considering his previous stance that we had no chance to defeat the 2011 Bruins and could only hope to lose in either 6 games or 7 games, this is a huge increase in optimism.
He suggested there's hope! He's saying there's a chance! - Thecakeisalie
UG is nothing but a professional troll.
Let's not validate him by responding with facts and words.

I'm becoming more convinced by the day that the best option is to not sign any big RFA's.. If JT wants to sign here fine, wait til he's Marleaus age and he can sign a 2-year deal and help us win our 5th cup in the Matthews/Marner era. What's the point in drafting and growing guys like Kap/Brown/Johnnson/Liljegren if we aren't able to keep them. Because of cap restrictions. Leafs are already stacked up front, don't need JT/TS or any other Ontario born star. |

IF..J.T.does hit free agency. .they'll be 31 teams calling! ..as will the leafs. .but if he doesn't sign back with the islanders (artistic differences) ..then Tampa ..San Jose ..Nashville?..and ya maybe Toronto. .IMHO would be at the top ..I doubt rangers or jersey..dark horse Vegas ..make it a great day fellas. .enjoy |

I think if the Leafs can get another W, they'll be officially welcomed to the playoffs. - zazzle
Leafs need 2 wins and Panthers need to lose 2-3 more times and then we clinch. If I'm not mistaken

Becasue as of now, those are just role players....none are on the level of JT, Seguin, or Doughty |

It assumes Ottawa has moved to Houston - so no way they trade him to Dallas. |

Especially, if JT wants to come here... Then you got to do whatever you can to fit him in..
I still think he re-signs with the Islanders, but if he says "eff it..I'm taking my talents to the 6" then you sign him..

I don't know if Seguin has cleaned up his act, but let's just say he has a pretty strong history of not being the type of player that Lou and Shanny would want. |

Leafs have no centre prospects that's the issue.
If you get Tavares you can run (theoretically) Matthews-Tavares-Kadri and then do what Pittsburgh does and have the revolving door of youthful wingers on the cheap (theoretically). |
