They can't move up or down anyway so the points don't matter. Matthews is a bit different just because he's been out longer but these are two guys you need to be as close to 100% as you can get if you want any kind of hope in the playoffs.

UG is now suggesting there is room for hope in the playoffs with Andersen and Matthews rested and healthy. Considering his previous stance that we had no chance to defeat the 2011 Bruins and could only hope to lose in either 6 games or 7 games, this is a huge increase in optimism.

We certainly could still move ahead of Boston in the standings. 8 of 12 remaining games are against teams fighting for playoff spots. They won't be easy. Especially if they still have a bit of injury problems (most should be back soon).

We are 6th in the league in points....we have at least 2-3 "hopes" in the playoffs.

Agreed, like I just said. People need to stop this thinking that they know where a player is with injuries and fatigue. We don't know this. And we never will. Let the coaching staff and the players decide this, we have no idea
