Poutine sucks, Rene Levesque had a greasy comb-over and Wolfe > Montcalm.

It's gameday, fellas.

Schwartz deli is the most overhyped place I've ever been to also. Should have gone to McDonald's.

Montrealers put pickling spice on their steak like animals and their meat pies are most useful as a (frank)ing ashtray.

okay then...

seems like everyone is in the right frame of mind for a Leafs Habs game.

if Martin can't go tonight... do the Leafs sign Orr as an emergency fill in?

I may be wrong, but I don't think they were trying to say the WJC wasn't fun to watch, just that the value most people seem to assign to any player that does well in the tournament is overblown.

Lots of people go gaga over any player that has a good performance in that tournament, as if a strong WJC performance was some sort of definite indicator of a future NHL star. While performing well in that tournament is great for the player and certainly better than a bad showing, people need to stop putting so much emphasis on such performances, in regard to a player's likely future.

Ah. This I agree with.

So in the East there are 4 teams fighting for the last 3 playoff spots.

Philly 81 points (11 GR)
Columbus 81 points (10 GR)
NJD 80 Points (12 GR)
Florida 77 points (14 GR)

Who in your guys opinion is the team to likely not end up making playoffs?

My guess is Philadelphia is the team to fall short. Simply cause their goaltending is garbage. Mrazek hasn't helped them at all

- LeafGuy89

I think the Tabbies are getting burned out... They don't have the depth.. They need to not let this decent core go to waste and acquire some more skill this summer. 4 games in hand over Bob & Co is huge though.. It'll be interesting to see.

Montreal is the most overrated dumpster i've ever been to.

The city is ugly. The traffic is (frank)ed. The people are Richards for the most part. I don't get the allure.

For the amount of times Casey Mittelstadts name was uttered he better be the next Gretzky.. He'll probably be more like Grigorenko

I moved my seats close to the blue line in row 9 today. Super excited about the new seats as they’re awesome. pm if you’d like to swap seats for a weekend Bruins Leafs game in both directions.

Upper - should’ve clarified. I can’t afford to move down at the moment as I’m saving for a house even though the wisest man of all, Tanner, says I should just rent for life.

I assume you’re lower? If you don’t mind sitting with us plebs up top I could add some $ on my end to even it out.

Nobody should ever pay for lower bowl tickets out of their own pocket - that's just stupid.

I'll keep your offer in mind as the playoffs unfold - although no franking way would I fly in for Patriots' Day. I'm not paying $500 USD/night for a hotel room.

I still say you guys finish first in the conference - just a hunch.

Oh I thought I heard you mention the platinums a few times, which I assumed were lower. I’m guessing you probably get treated to sit down there a few times for business?

I was just joking around with the pleb comment by the way

I don’t blame you one bit! I know we’ve talked about it before, but figured I’d expand it a bit to the board to increase my luck. I’m actually thinking about next season at this point more than the playoffs. I think I’m going to Seattle on the 7th so busy enough around that time as it is.

I want to come back up and figured I could get somewhere close to face value this way as opposed to what I paid last game and Bruins leafs gamss in Boston on a Saturday are nothing to sneeze at either.

I hope you’re right, but we’re a walking infirmary tonight heading into Tampa.

Yes, platinums are the lowest.

Funny MLSEL story:

In the old Maple Leaf Gardens, the order of tickets was like this (from closest/most expensive to furthest/cheapest):

Gold
Red
Green (Blue behind nets - my favourite seats - really steep)
Greys

But when they moved to the ACC, they added a new section - at the bottom, of course, so that they could sell them to corporations at the highest rate.

What's better than gold? Ummmmm, I guess platinum?

OK, platinum, but you can't have platinum-coloured seats at the bottom and grey-coloured seats at the top.

So greys became purples in the new ACC.

And yes, every once in a while I'll get invited along to platinums or golds.

As I said, it's a pretty sweet experience - but I would never pay that kind of money out of my own pocket just to watch a hockey game. For the price of two platinums, you could buy yourself a 70" TV and watch the game at home.

I'm exaggerating on that, but probably not too far off. Definitely a 50".

I know that these game means nothing - we're pretty much locked into 3rd place, and so there's no real incentive to win...

But I'm going tonight, so I'd really like to see Matthews.

I don't really care if it's rushing him back - I say risk it.

It's all about me.

I really hope Matthews is in tonight as well, rushed or not. Want to know why? Good, because I'm going to tell you. Because you're going to be there tonight, that's why. It's all about you, and if that's what you want, I hope that's what you get because that's just the kind of guy I am.

Let me ask you a really important question, Usersie:

Do these jeans make my ass look fat?
