Since Hakstol has carte blanche to fail with no repercussions, I'll be happy for the good players who have carried this team if they make the playoffs. It's not like even a disastrous choke job would be enough for Hak to get fired.

One win in March and being basically level with 3 other teams in Points% doesn't mean they are headed for a playoff spot. It means that when the pressure went on they collapsed into a choking situation.

After the Flyers cut the CBJ lead to 2-1, out game Filppula's line with Gudas/Manning. they promptly let in a goal. I blame Gudas for the turnover and Manning for being out of position to recover but still.....how often has that happened when those 5 are out after a goal for whether its been just being hemmed in their zone or giving up a goal? When the flyers scored later in the game Hakstol put Giroux's line out and they followed with keeping the puck in the Offensive zone. About god damn time.

Filppula did a good job early in the season but his play has fallen off a cliff. I was happy to see Hakstol switch him and Laughton later in the game. the adjustments just come too slow

I’ll be disappointed if they miss the playoffs but it’s not the end of the world. I do think they need to get in next season and if not, it will be time for a coaching change. I also think that by 19-20 they will be good enough to win a round or 2 and that they will be a top contender by 20-21. I like what Hextall is building, but I’m not fully sold on Hak yet. That being said, no matter what happens this season (barring a complete 1-9-1 collapse) I’d bring him back next season. However someone new needs to be brought in to replace Lappy to coach the PK. Enough is enough.

interesting the Flyers played better when G was out, the team needs to step up like G wasnt there to carry them around on his back.

i would need to see it again but I believe Gudas had it tied up but then kicked the puck forward. Manning starting to creep in close to the scrum going on. when Gudas kicked the puck up and it was intercepted the blue jacket (I believe Atkinson?) broke towards the net past Manning who was caught flat footed. I would have preferred to see Manning stay closer to the net and kept Atkinson in front of him.

you remember correct, though I thought Gudas was on Mannings side, Manning should have switched for sure but Gudas overplays a lot of plays and Flip will just Flip
