I can see it now.... When they choke away a playoff spot, which they had an 11 point lead, we are going to hear the bubble team/future is bright horsepoop.

the excuses will ring hollow if they can't get this turned around. I still am keeping the faith though. This team needs to get on another streak....and fast.
Just came across a tweet from last night - some dude wants to strip the C from Giroux. - Scoob
There was an article from NBCSports the other day about how Giroux should be looked at as one of greats in Flyers history.
You should have seen the comments on there from some people saying he's been a terrible captain and their reasoning was he doesn't fight/stick up for his teammates, doesn't scream at players, and has never won a cup. It was quite the trip going through those comments.
This team would be bottom 5 with out Giroux this year. - landros 2
Seconded.
I was at the game and when Giroux went out, I didn't see what happened, but I'm telling you if Giroux is out for any length of time, this team is (frank)ed.

By the time Claude Giroux retires, he has a punchers chance at being in 2nd all time in Flyers history in points, behind only Clarke. G needs 225 points to catch Billy Barber for 2nd place.

Lyon is probably the starter now. He's not an NHL goaltender. They have next to zero secondary scoring, and pretty much one defensive pairing. Not a great recipe. The schedule gets easier but the same issues exist. I don't know how anyone can rationalize how Lapperiere is still running this tire fire PK. They've been at the bottom of the NHL under his tenure, yet he remains. What's the definition of insanity? Repeating the same thing, and expecting a different result.
He's the type of guy where they could win back-to-back Cups and he'd still point out and obsess over the smallest of flaws.
I think this team still isn't where the need to be, and their recent play has been, well, pretty horrible. But I also think that the future looks promising, just not in the next month. - jmatchett383
They could win back to back cups and he would point to the 40 year drought saying what an awful franchise it is.

Say he finishes with 95 points this season, which would be his current pace, he would only need to average about 55 points a season for 4 years to catch Barber.

You're doing yourself a major disservice. Finest Swedish metal around. This one is just instrumental, but their true masterpiece may be the video they did with the 2008 Olympic Gold Swedish women's curling team.
I think he should pass Barber fairly easily but if he can get at least one more season like this and they can at least make it to another cup with him I think he could get into the hall.

Question: Without looking it up, can you tell me what player has played the 4th most games as a Flyer?
