At Augusta you need to hit GIR

Tiger does well out of the rough but he has been missing fairways by 20-40 yards. There are trees everywhere at Augusta, that is my main concern for him.

- Stripes77

Yesir. That has been his biggest concern since leaving butch harmon. I loved his butch harmon swing. Shoulda stayed with it, not gotten married, and layed off the hgh imo.

That was the first year they put those lines on the ice for faceoffs. I remember screaming up and down the whole series because his feet were never in them and the refs didnt do anything about it. I couldnt understand why they would paint them on there if they werent going to enforce it. (frank) him.

This is probably the first year they’ve really put effort into enforcing it

Crazy isnt it. And they only really enforced it for the first month, theyve already began to ignore it again. I just didnt understand it at the time why they would enact it and then immediately ignore it. (frank)ing nhl.

Can’t say faceoffs don’t matter bc the Sabres suck...
Bc that logic is turned upside down when u look at how Brind’amour’s Carolina team won the Cup

It’s assine to draw that big of a conclusion from faceoff stats one way or the other
Obviously (or maybe not),
there’s A LOT of other factors that determine if you’re a good team or not

- jdfitz77

Wait so a guy was great on face offs when a team won the cup, and another guy was great on faceoffs the year his team is 31st.

What an indicator of success or failure that is.

Explain the logic again?

I like the move. Give me a guy that might have some upside, not a guy who is a known mediocre/poopty commodity. Moreso regarding bridgewater, keenum, bradford i guess though.

I thought Beane did very well in terms of the contract. Interesting to see what Elway decides to do at 5 or else I think we might be trade partners.

I honestly think he was bored and wanted a challenge, and since no one on the course could give him one he figured he'd give himself one.

It indicates that the Canes were a much better possession team with most likely a higher shooting % then the last place Sabres who have the worst possession metrics and shooting % in the league. We need to take advantage of O’Reilly’s faceoff ability with better possession and that will come when we have a team with more talent.

I think it would be unwise for cleveland, the giants, the broncos, and the jets to not take a qb if one of the 4 is still there. I think the colts pick is where we need to get to.

Maybe. Hindsight is 20/20 afterall. I modeled my swing after his butch harmon swing at the time and still go back and watch it to this day when i start to spray it from time to time. It was a thing of beauty. Even his hank haney swing looked forced to me, like he was trying to steer it around the course. His butch swing was effortless, he would just let it ride.

Yeah they wonder why he needed a swing coach because they say he is the greatest student of the swing. He studies it more then anyone.

As far as fairways and Augusta goes he’ll be fine. He knows where to miss at that course. Plus he was crushing his 2iron 280 into a cold wind this morning. When he stopped playing defence after hitting out of bounds on 3, he played a lot better off the tee.

I havent checked the stats but i thought he drove it pretty well last week on a tough course. The masters is the best major to play if youre not hitting it straight fwiw. I was more joking about him just constantly being injured for the last decade.

he hit a lot of 2 irons last sunday and it wasn't going as far on the back 9

hopefully it was just fatigue

Yeah it must’ve been. He was hitting 2 iron with Hideki and Jason day today. He was a good 10-20 yards further off the tee when they all hit irons. Those guys aren’t slouches off the tee either.

When youre generating 129mph club head speeds, fatigue is a very real thing.

I worry he is going to cripple himself with how hard he is swinging already.

Thats always been his game though. Ive never had but one gear with the driver myself. Every damn muscle in my body gets used, i dont think he knows any other way either.
