Should HoF entry be based on stats alone? No. But they should definitely be a factor. Achievements should be more or equally important. This guy has 3 cup rings and a gold medal. Hell, hes one of only three goalies to ever be drafted 1st overall, that's an achievement too. When it's all said and done, assuming he plays out a full natural career and no career ending injuries, his many wins will he end up with? 600? More?.... So then add all those wins to all the achievements(there may be more yet) . Wont surprise me at all if he becomes a HoF'er. |

Yeesh... this is really really poopting on Flower. If you want to say that 400 wins shouldn't be an auto HoF... fine. A good bit will disagree, but its a somewhat fair point. But he is most likely going to end up with over 500, and with how Vegas looks, a fair shot at passing Roy and taking the #2 spot. Shootout win adjusted doesn't matter realistically. That might sway 1 HoF voter. He has multiple Cups, he will be top 5 in wins, and his save percentage is also high up in the NHL history. He is most likely an auto HoF goalie in another few years.
The real best knock on him, is his lack of Vezina, or even being close to one. Only twice made the top 10 in votes for that. He does have a top 10 in the Hart which is quite nice as a goalie... but the non Vezina or even close is a legit mark against him. |

I've missed a few boards lately and so excuse me if this has already been brought up... the college UFAs are about to be coming and I had read a report about a Defenseman kid from Penn State that was leaning towards Pens and a top C and LW... anyone heard that or know who they are? |

Looking forward to Rusty on the 3rd line. I think he might be the right guy to really get them going. |

Now if Flower can help Vegas win a cup within the next few seasons, would that be enough to consider him for the HHOF for anyone who's on the fence about it?
I know this is probably a big if for most people, but it would create an interesting scenario considering there are those that feel it was mostly the elite talent around Fleury that lead to those three cups. |

With that hair, Phil Kessel looks like a guy you'd see on any bar stool in Millvale. |

My favorite was when she said, "I remember when a puck when right into someone's beer." Pierre was like, "Oh really?" like he was placating her. |
