They'll miss out on Kane, JVR and Neal. Phew! Bullets dodged! But what good is cap space if it isn't spent on useless players so come on down Perron. We gonna make you rich.

I'm terrified to hear of the offer they put in front of John Carlson this summer if he gets to UFA

1 year 11.27 million dollars.
Traded at the deadline for a 1st with 50 percent retained to make room for the twins games played bonuses.

Not having a defence that can skate backwards or know which way is up ice when it comes to passing is the problem.
- Lindenis#1

Totally. The teams only problem is the defense

No, but if the defence could pass or rush the puck or get a shot on net then the scoring, breakout, goaltending transition and everything gets better.

No arguments there. I’m simply stating that the Sedins aren’t helping anything other than our PP. time to rip the bandaid off and start from scratch. There are a 100 problems and hanging onto the old guard isn’t beneficial to the teams future in my opinion.

but if the choice is between bringing them back for 1 year vs signing 1 or 2 more LE type contracts(not saying the ufa will suck like LE, just mean similar money) then I choose the Sedins. No more 5 or 6 year contracts for expensive UFA's.

Ideally it's none of the above, but that's probably not realistic with this ownership/management group.

The whole game starts with the D. The best teams work from the D out.

Pens are just different. Plus their D were underrated.

Pens got amazing goaltending last year, Murray stood on his head in some of those games and bailed out their patchwork defense. And then having Crosby/Malkin/Kessel with random guys like Sheary/Guentzel coming out of nowhere definitely helped offensively.

But they definitely should have given up more goals than they did in the playoffs.

Nashville was playing with patchwork centermen so they couldn't take full advantage.

This

But if the choice is between signing the twins to a one year contract abd signing Taveres for 15 million to trade at the deadline, then we sign Taveres.

I know it's the Canucks but why do you have to do either of those stupid things?

Good morning bee-atches...

So having not seen the hilites yet I'm hearing Motte and Leipsic are the new Chapoo and Magma...Guddy is the new Tanev and Marky is just plain ol Marky.

I have to wonder, is one of our 10 AHL players going to eventually call out our AHL goalie to make a save?

Curious...

He really does capture the feelings of the fans on how they perceive Benning

#Canucks prospect Kristoffer Gunnarsson finished the SHL season with 0 points in 46 games - he was the only player to appear in more than 21 games to not register a point.

11 goaltenders had more points than Gunnarsson - including Justin Pogge, who had 4 assists. #Canucks

You know this team is bad when Carol has stopped posting a post game summary of the team and just waits until the next game day to post a new blog.
