Regardless, it has nothing to do with him and his play for the Leafs. The team cannot use that as leverage, nor should they. It is his own business, not theirs. He should be paid what he deserves based on his play and not less because of any advertising deals he has with organizations outside of the Leafs.

If he wants to take less then good on him, but it's solely his decision.
