I honestly think it would be even worse for the best team in the regular season. Whoever they pick is going to be even more motivated to play well or even upset them because the other team obviously thought they were the easiest to beat. Their pride has been wounded, so they'll have one more reason to want to win.

Everyone would cheer for the underdog.. It would neat to see if the prez trophy winner loses in the first round if they'd choose the same team the next year to get revenge. It would definitely create animosity amongst teams.
