I really don't get this. I like this picture. It's really rather cute and shows that the young fans are behind the Leafs. Just like Marner and that 6 year old Leukemia survivor he keeps in touch with. It's great.
The first few times this was posted I honestly thought people were posting it simply because it was a cute picture of a young fan.



The fact that Vancouver fans think its funny or sad seeing kids excited by our best young players is more an indictment of them, than it is the Leafs. Are they also going to make fun of young kids that like Boeser or Petterson? Idiots.

1st part of operation "get out of Edmonton" is to pose as a young Leafs fan.
He'll slowly work his way into the Leafs dressing room using whatever disguises are necessary. Then he can knock unconscious an unsuspecting Josh Leivo, get some friends to send Josh back to Edmonton in a McDavid uniform, and join the Leafs as Leivo.
Noone will be the wiser, although they may be a bit shocked at the sudden downturn in McDavid's play and the amazing emergence of Leivo as a superstar centerman.

Matthews seems pretty snarky and likes to have fun. Him and Eichel are buddies so I can see him signing a deal where he gets exactly $1 more than Eichel a year, just to say he gets more annually.
