True. If they wanted to be better than Tannehill though, they coulda kept Tyrod.
Is that a hot take? |

They need to get an athletic MLB to play behind him, this dude eats blocks up for breakfast lunch and dinner.
With Kyle being back and now Star the Bills are filing holes. They will need to draft a guy in the 4th or 5th round (Kyle Williams part deux) but it doesn't have to be a high round pick - Stripes77
I agree:
Hope Harrison Phillips drops down into the 2nd round.
If we still have a 2nd.
Athletic lb up next.

Pot is a pretty effective painkiller/stress reliever. These guys are allowed to down fistfuls of high-strength pharmaceuticals, but they can't smoke pot? Smh - jcragcrumple
I don't make the rules but last I checked it is still a schedule 1 narcotic. I'm not saying it should be, but it IS. It's not debatable until laws are changed. |

I think that if they get to a point where they want a player but are up against the cap he is gone. |

The DUI is bad. I don't think the league should even be testing for pot though. A dude can be all pumped full of Adderall or Xanax or whatever and play football, but not pot? Plenty of guys are playing every week under the influence of prescription narcotics and other stuff.
What I'm having a hard time trying to say is: no one should ever be suspended for smoking pot, and while it is his choice to leave money on the table because of it, I think it's hypocritical that the league will ban a guy for it
I get that it's illegal, but it's not morally illegal - jcragcrumple
I don't disagree with you on the nature of pot--alcohol and tobacco are much more dangerous and much worse drugs. But he knew the policy. Also, his year-long suspension was for alcohol abuse, not pot. On top of that, he failed a drug test while suspended.
I guess my point is that the guy has played 40 games and been suspended for or missed 52 games since 2012 because he was stupid and immature--or he has a very real addiction problem that requires or required treatment, which he hopefully received when he left the Browns for rehab--not because of pot.
My secondary point is that every employer has rules its employees must follow, even if the rules are dumb. If you know those rules and break them, that's on you, not the rules. |

If you and I break a rule, or don't like a rule, we could go to a different employer. NFL players can't go to a different employer. The pot rules are irrational and hypocritical, so I would say it is on the rules, not the player. |

What if Mayfield falls to 7 or 8 and we only have to give up a 2nd and 3rd to move up 4 or 5 spots..
Best of both worlds.

None of those pay the same though. I'm just saying I don't think it's good enough to say "rules are rules," if those rules are immoral, which I believe they are.
FWIW, I don't even smoke pot. But these players are pumped full of Pfizer's finest, they should be allowed to smoke pot. Employers are not mandated to test |

Of course they can. They can get a real job just like you and I. It's a choice to play football (Have to have the ability obviously). But it's not like it's either NFL or homeless. "You want to smoke pot all day? Fine, it just won't be with us." This sentiment isn't something that should be debated. Once the rules are changed (and I believe they will be) the this won't be an issue. But while they are a rule, if you break them, it is on you. |

I like Hughes. He had a rough year but he was doubled almost every game. Get another edge rusher and Hughes will be fine.
