It's official... Jamie Benn is an asshat.. - PatC80
Starting a center tonight for the Toronto Maples Leafs is the 1 and only Matt Martin.

We did get outplayed by quite a bit by the look of the shots and attempts.
I had a good glow on so I don't recall a lot of the game - Garnie
I'm not a believer in shots... It really doesn't matter, it's where the shots come from. If Murray was in net it could have been a different outcome for sure |

Wedgie's game day notes:
- Buffalo has now passed the Coyotes (I think I have that backwards) - the Sabres are now in last place. That's an amazing accomplishment - I didn't think anyone could catch the 'yotes. Who woulda thunk it? Other than Tanner, of course.
- Don't ever look at the underside of your mouse. Trust me on this.*
- I am sticking with my prediction: we play Tampa in the 1st round.
- Last night I played Leafs vs. Stars on NHL18. In the third period, with the Leafs up 9-0, Benn scored a goal...and then celebrated. What a franking douchebag. I can't believe a guy would do that. Just goes to show you that guy is all about himself - doesn't care about his team. I hope Polak cross checks him in the face ** tonight. - Atomic Wedgie
* Yup and that crap needs to be cleaned once in while or buy a new one each time
** Kadri will bug the crap out him and will want to fight him |

There's a 100% chance Benn will act like a pretentious female dog.. Probably get away with spearing Kadri again or running Freddy.. I'd prefer Martin to dress tonight for that reason. He always try's to bully, but ultimately fails. - Arctic_AARDVARK
They also have Rousell and Ritchie who like taking runs at players. Leafs best have their heads up

I turned on the game and my buddy was talking for the 1st 6 (frank)ing mins...I told him to shut the (frank) up as the Leafs haven't got out of their own end yet...then we scored a couple mins later and all was good again. |

Well, this specific tree was on a steep hill, with a river at the bottom that leads into a resevior, that SpaceX gets its water from, and used to hydrate its astronaugts on a different planet.. |

No it's not. The rule is hand to ball, not ball to hand. The guy was facing the other way when it hit his arm. Terrible call.
And it's not like his arm was flying through the air. It was pretty much tucked in beside him. - GreatGigInTheSky
Looked to me like it never touched his hand - only touched the bandage!
The one that I thought was fantastic was when a TFC defender kept the ball from going out on the line, got back up and cleared it. I thought for sure it was a handball - the Tigres were all whining about it - but on the replay, the guy did a masterful job of moving his body around so that he never touched it.
And holy frank, I love Giovinco (that goal was as sick as Dermott was yesterday), but the diving has got to stop. It's franking embarrassing. |

I don't take in too many soccer leagues. Mostly TFC and international competition. I honestly find MLS not nearly as bad for flopping as international play. The skill level and finesse is so much lower in MLS so I find the players to be more "brutish" and fight through tackles more often. As a Dutch supporter, watching Robben throw himself around can be pretty hard to watch. |

I'm trying to foster a love for TFC - but I'm still not what you would call a fan. Like the Raptors, I hope they do well, and I'll tune into their games, but I'm not passionate about them.
But from what I hear, apparently MLS is a far more physical version of the game than Euro leagues (feel free to disagree with me on this - I'm just passing along what has been told to me by others). |

My brother-in-law's lifelong team (the town where he grew up) is about to be relegated out of League Two.
He's pretty heartbroken about it. |

I know it will never, ever, ever happen (for 100 legit reasons), but I would love for pro hockey in North America to adopt the promotion/relegation system.
Of course, I'd have to decide which one of the seven Toronto teams in the Premier League I'd cheer for... |
