i dont blame you. its pathetic. if it were other teams i would probably do the same. a league literally dying to pull in the casual fan cant afford to consistently shoot themselves in the foot like this.

Clement should go back to doing national games but I think he enjoys being a homer too much.

Hey, wait, you guys, why can't I interview the Mites on Ice kids?

because in the late 80's and 90's they had an insane European scouting staff that no other organization really could compete with. then everyone started pouring money into Euro scouts and now it's fairly balanced across the league.

trading away 1st round picks in the hopes that you hit on 4th, 5th, and 6th round gems every year is an unsustainable strategy in the modern day NHL

It isn't the 80's and 90's anymore and all their success has come from a pre cap era.

Who have the Wings drafted in developed since their last Cup ten years ago? Right now they're working on Larkin and Matha but Ken Holland has been slow to keep up with the times. Instead Holland has stayed loyal to guys like Dan Cleary or Mikael Samuelson all to keep up A ridiculous playoff streak. The Red Wings have been on the road to nowhere the past ten years. They've been bounced out of the first round since 09 to keep up that stupid streak and have nothing to show for it today.

I don’t know who else on the team could be that guy if simmonds gets traded. I’d actually like to see them add another personality of that type in addition to simmonds. It would be great if we had a defenseman with that personality. Maybe Morin can be that guy if he can stay healthy and finally gets his chance
