If I am any team I am sending every questionable thing he does to the offices anymore. They'll get the hint soon enough. Carolina should definitely send that trip from last night in.

Met EJ Hradek at the Vegas game. He was a nice guy. They were filming in my section and he stopped to take pictures with Josh and his dad, and he took pictures with us. He even spent about 5 minutes talking about how the Flyers are safe in the playoffs because as bad as our schedule is the devils is much worse coming up. And he talked a little bit about expansion coming about the same time as the CBA is up, so we have that to look forward to.

Considering how well Vegas is doing I dont think the expansion rules will change, so all players with 2 or more years NHL/AHL experience will be exposed, and you have to protect NMC's. You can either do 7 forwards, 3 defenseman, 1 goalie, or 8 skaters and 1 goalie.

That means

Protected Forwards:
Giroux NMC
Voracek NMC
Couturier
Frost
Lindblom
Konecny
Rubtsov

Protected Defenseman:
Provorov
Gostisbhere
Sanheim/Hagg/Morin

Goalie:
Hart/Sandstrom

Meaning the following players will likely be available:
Vecchione, 2 of Morin/Sanheim/Hagg, Myers, Ratcliffe, Vorobyov, Friedman, Aube-Kubel, Martel, Goulbourne, Varone, Sushko, Stolarz, Lyons

I mean seriously we are going to lose someone good. We might have to make a deal for Seattle to take someone like Simmonds or Raffl to leave these guys alone.

We may have to lose or trade something good, but the lists you have aren't completely correct. No one that isn't in the NHL/AHL this season will be available for the draft. Patrick and Lindblom are. Jake doesn't have a NMC

Sorry forgot about putting Patrick in. So that take Rubtsov out. And it depends on when the expansion draft is. Talking to EJ he said NHL can opt out in 2019 which is after this season and will likely be after that, so the 20-21 season. So unless you sit on Frost 1 more year in Juniors...... He will need to be protected.

Frost won't need to be protected unless he makes the team next season and they wait until the 21-22 season to expand

My "way too early and most definitely pointless but also somewhat biased by what I hope happens" shot at guessing the expansion draft (in June 2020)

Flyers protect:
Giroux
Jake
Patrick
Konecny
Couturier
Lindblom
Laughton (insert youngish fwd acquired by that time)

Provorov
Ghost
Sanheim

Stolarz

Flyers lose:
Robert Hagg + 1st round pick for Seattle to select Robert Hagg (protecting Morin and Myers)

Myers/Morin are going to have to blow me away the next couple years for me to accept the Flyers giving up a 1st round pick to lose Hagg instead.

A star player in a big hockey market like Boston will always get preferential treatment in the NHL.

Wasn't Ghost part of the Sasquatch brigade Monday night?

Good to see Gudas and Jake trimmed theirs.

Had to put Patrick between Sanheim and Weise otherwise it may have damaged the camera lens.
