There is no doubt that Filppula is declining as a player, especially offensively. This is speculation on my part because you never can know for a fact but in my opinion without Filppula at center this season, this team would not be in a playoff spot at this point. If they would've had to push Patrick harder earlier in the season or elevate Laughton, the Flyers would've been in trouble. They're already playing Couturier into early retirement.

Definitely have some winable games here in the last month of the season. Really need to scratch out some points against some good teams though.

I still like our playoff chances but I think it's going to be very close.

I wish the Blues remaining schedule was a little tougher to end the season. I'm really liking having a strong rooting interest in another teams demise.
