Read has been decent since being recalled. If he can help stabilize team d and pk, maybe he can help. |

High end prospect comes up plays extremely well. Replace him with aging vet who looked very poor in his only game with us.
This isn't about read and the forward groups it's pretty clear he will be in the lineup. It's about oduya vs sanheim. I give sanheim the 2 weeks hagg is out to see what he can do. If he struggles send him down when hagg comes back if he excels make space for him. |

Bill Meltzer: Wrap: Flyers Ground Jets, 2-1 - bmeltzer
Mrazek looked great. He probably just needed rest. Sanheim looks like a changed man since being sent down. I think Sanheim might deserve another crack at the line up. Hagg's injury might be a blessing. I felt like he needed to sit and Manning should be next. |

I think they'll keep Sanhiem up until Hagg comes back. Once Hagg gets back it gets tricky. I don't want to send Sanhiem down. But I also don't want him being healthy scratched again. I also don't want to see Hagg healthy scratched either.
Will they remove another player from the lineup and keep Sanhiem up when Hagg returns? I think he's got his chance these next few games to maybe steal a spot on the 3rd pair.
Hopefully he plays well and stays up. Then Oduya and Manning can battle it out for the 7th spot. |

Might want to consider shuffling the top 6.
G Patrick Konecny
Lindblom Coots Jake
They’re all slumping a bit. |

Not sure how you can say they are all slumping s bit.
Giroux has 6 point in 5 games
Jake 5 points in 5 games.
Dont be afraid to say that in the top 6 right now Coots is struggling big time because he is..1 point and -1 in 5 games isn't getting it done compared to the Selke level play he was showing up until 10 to 15 games ago. If he is worn down from mins then reduce the load or sit him a few but they need Coots back big time.

I actually think sanheim fit much better with amac rather than gudas. Even if you rotate gudas or hagg up the lineup late in games I think amac should continue to be the rookie whisperer and play with sanheim. Hagg gudas could be a solid 3rd pairing.
I don't think coots for Patrick on the top line should happen cause line 1 is still driving play so well. But I would consider Patrick moving to pp1 in coots spot. I don't like Patrick on the boards on pp2. |

In regards to the forwards I probably keep the lines together. For now. I would consider giving Patrick a few more minutes to give Coots a tiny bit of a rest however. |

I think Patrick has earned increased playing time so would be a fan of this. |

I know where you were going with the post. It was kind of seperate statement and I picked your post to reply to. To me it's a no brainer with sanheim. |

Posted it yesterday but I remember reading that his dad commented that at every level he takes about a half year to get acclimated then he excels. Seems to be right on this same timeline. Oduya may be fine as a guy to come in If there are multiple injuries as the 6 guy, but I'm thinking the same way as both And hope sanheim gets the shot to prove he's ready. No matter what happens, the playoffs will be invaluable experience for many of these guys and it'll help us shorten the timeline to true contention. I'd absolutely love to see them win a round and get a taste of playoff success. I can't see them beating Boston Tampa or Pitt however |

This game will henceforth be known as the "Lehtera Game". Easily his best game of the year.
Sanheim looked pretty darn good out there. Love this young D corps.
Gotta give Hak his credit. I was ready to move on after November but he's been as steady and calm as possible all season. Credit due. |
