I really don't know what the deal is with him. I've often thought that some of what he does is to buy himself some room as a smaller player and to protect himself, sort of like Briere did once in a while. He takes it to a radical extreme though to the point where it seems like he is legitimately trying to injure players. The NHL needs to do something. I also wonder why the team doesn't do something. - MJL
Bruins fans are on sportsnet saying it was clean and a reaction to duclair taking a run at him. Bs. You don't need to go high. If it was gudas they'd be calling for 20 games.

His rep and the fact that he threw his arms towards Duclair's head say otherwise.

I don't even question it. Whatever Hal has been doing has resulted in us winning quite a bit, and at the same time the young players are getting better, tk, provy and Patrick.
Must be doing something right. - Hextall271
I get what he's doing.
Still prefer a dude who I think is a better motivator and has a touch more trust in playing the youth. So be it.
Good for them to get back into the W's. |

Say what you will but imo the league loves this kind of poop. Any news is good news sort of a thing. Gets people talking.
When he injures another star long term he might get a spanking. |

Good win..
Hope Sanheim sticks.
Really need Coots to get on the board soon.
As for Marchand...in a way I feel like the NHL has created players like that by taking the physical nature of hockey away. It's stupid because , minus the dirty plays, Marchand is a player I would take on this team 100% . He obviously has skill and produces at a high level but has a few of these plays every season. Imagine the witch hunt if that was Rinaldo .... |

All the available evidence suggests that Hakstol is doing a strong job in handling the young players on the team.

Please. He could be fondling MacDonald in the int and you'd defend. |

Man Patrick’s game has grown by leaps and bounds. A bit dissappointed in Lindblom. Right now he’s doing enough of the other good things to stay in, but he’s got to pick up the offense |

Patrick has been a god send. Really helps bridge that talent gap with G continuing to get older. Love the hair. |

Give it time. If he continues to put himself into scoring position like he has, the goals and points will come...no question. |

Lindblom will score one off his shin pad to get going. I'm really enjoying Patrick grow in the 2nd half, so many subtle good plays with high end skill, what a gift from the lottery. |

Dude is all around the net. Sheesh. Has had a good chance almost every game. I think his offense has been good, just has been getting robbed |

No reason to be disappointed in Lindblom. The kid is in his first season of pro hockey in NA. For many players, their development comes in steps. What were seeing is why the Flyers wanted him in the AHL. He has the game away from the puck but still needs to develop his game with the puck offensively. We'll see if he can take the next steps in the NHL.

Sanheim was solid tonight. Had one bad shift the entries game. Active in the transition game. Better player than Manning, no question...don't know what else he has to prove to stay in over Manning. God he is just a turnover machine...(frank)ing infuriating |

BiggE, watched it at a bar. The TK penalty, guy stepped on his stick. They call it, but clearly a pretty bogus penalty.
Finally looked like they controlled play and dictated the game. Good win to break the skid! |

4 straight games where Flip has had more ice time than NoPa.
3 straight games for Laughton under 8 minutes on the ice.
I can't say I'm shocked though. |

Clearly a bogus penalty? This was not the case of a guy stepping on Konecny's stick while Konecny had his stick in a normal position during the normal course of play. Konecny reached out with his stick and placed in the players skates as the player was going by him. Clear cut penalty and the correct call. |

Fillpula played 12:18 at EV compared to Patrick, who played 15:02 at EV. Patrick played 1:50 on the PP compared to Fillpula's 2:05 on the PP. Total for the game was 16:52 for Patrick to 17:07 for Filppula. The difference is that Patrick does not not play on the PK. Fillpula played 2:44 on the PK.
