I think it's questionable based on the rules though. They only care if the stick is above the crossbar. Boyle is so tall though that the crossbar isn't that high for him, so even though the angle of his stick isn't a problem the height might have been.

Maroon may skate like he's in quicksand but he really has great puck control down low and against the boards. He's got some nifty passes too which I wasn't expecting.

Grabner has been bad but coach needs to get him into more scenarios in which he can succeed. Sami was pretty rough when he got traded but as we see now the guy can really play. I'm hoping the same happens with Grabner but to be fair we need the impact now if we're going to make the playoffs.
