There is going to be a line of young guys that can provide similar production on entry level contracts that are just waiting to take his spot. I don't see him as a Top 6 player. I don't see him as an ideal fourth liner. And, the third line can be the proving ground for some of these young kids that the organization has drafted.
Basically, what I am saying is that Vesey is (frank)ed as a Ranger sooner or later. - Pete V
Trade him to Nashville |

You can go (frank) off too - mdw7413
He's going to be 25 years old in May. In 65 games he has 19 points and is a -20. I think we think of him as a young player, and he's not.

Breakout season next year. Take it to the bank
And I would give my left nut to be 25 again. |

Vesey is staying and you can all go (frank) yourselves - mdw7413
This! He stays! Put him with better players and he will be fine hustles every shift/game and plays with a little snarl I think he is the type of player you keep he’s only redundant because he plays with fourth line poop like dad and Carey! |

I think they both stay, and unfortunately, Zucc won't be here.
Not saying I want that to happen, but that's the way I see it playing out.

I just like him as a third liner. He has scoring ability, he plays physical, a bit of an agitator. Just give me my 1 year, damnit! If he isn't any better next year, I will agree to get rid of him. Its not like they are looking to compete next year. |

Not bacon, Taylor ham, little bit of jelly and a lot of hot sauce, get the sweet and the hot |

Biggest worry for everybody is that when a player leaves the NYR he becomes the player WE all thought he could be. The fact is that over the past 20 years or so, not one player has exceeded what he has done in NY somewhere else. I challenge anybody to find a player that absolutely lit it up somewhere else. - rrentz

I am all for taking a shot on these college UFAs for free. I have no problem with that.
But, I am 95% sure I know what the guy is at this point, and I don't want him taking away playing time from Chytil, Andersson, etc. next year. I have no doubt in mind that the Rangers can play 19-20 year old kids that will be at least as productive and probably more.
