Last time we met Florida was in November. A 5-4 W in OT.
7 NYR players recorded points in the game.
5 of those are gone.
1 is injured.
Fast is playing tonight though...

if there was ever a game the Rangers needed to lose on purpose, this is one of them
we want Florida and Columbus to make the playoffs and the Devils to miss
Guess that’s what happens when you have so many players playing for the big club. A lot of Hartford defenders playing for the Rangers right now. - Pete V
yeah, they were rolling for a bit, but the Rangers just pretty much raped them and dont forget Georgiev
soon Chytil and Andersson will be taken from them as well
Bruins erase 4-3 lead by Hawks by scoring 3 goals within 2:55 midway through the 3rd, with the last two coming as the result of a double minor penalty, with their 6th goal scored by a Nash of their's, i.e., thee Rick Nash. There's a team whose coach allows his players to go hard to the net on every shift, including when having on the ice a Nick Holden on the back line, should that be anyone's excuse including A.V.
Edit: Boston defeats Hawks 7-4, and sweeps their 6 game home stand.

... and also to be sure that the Flyers will make the postseason, in being only 3 points ahead of the Devils for 3rd in the Metro. going into today's games.
Flyers defeat Winnipeg today, and are now 5 points ahead of N.J. for 3rd in the Metro., with the Devils 1 game in hand coming tonight at Nashville.
The Flyers also have 3 more ROW wins than the Devils with their afternoon win as of now.
Then Rangers fans have to root equally heavily for Calgary to make the postseason in the West, including rooting for them to win tomorrow night's game vs. the Isles, for even much greater meaning than just that postseason eligibility only.
Final 3-2 Tampa win in Shootout, and the Lightning are the first team in the 2017/18 season to reach the 100 point plateau.
As a Rangers fan, you aren't rooting for the Tampa/ex Rangers to win the Cup this season, or the following one?
That 2nd Round pick which the Rangers received in part in the McDonagh trade would then become a 1st Round one should they do so in either season.
Gorton has to replace the entire bench coaching staff first, prior to making any off season moves. One of his moves WILL NOT BE acquiring Dumba, because the Wild are not trading him, nor allowing him to walk away free when his time finally arrives.
The only chance that the Rangers MAY HAVE HAD to acquire Dumba was in some type of trade involving McDonagh. That time has passed on for good here, after the Wild had not shown any serious interest in acquiring McDonagh after the Rangers issued that "selling" memo to the hockey world about 2 to 3 weeks prior to the deadline.

With Pavelec as well as Shatty possibly returning soon, if Hartford suddenly gets back into the playoff hunt, maybe the Rangers should "DEMOTE" Smith back "UP TO" A.V.'s roster, and have the Rangers return Georgiev and Pionk to them for their greater benefit. That's even more especially so if the Rangers want go for the tanking up here in a bigger way.

I would like to see Smith brought back as well. He's not going anywhere the next 4yrs....so let's get him back on track...no?

I'm a big fan of Smith and have defended the guy even when he wasn't playing great, brings a physical element on the back end we're desperately missing. With that said, it's no ones fault but his own that he came into camp out of shape and was never able to get on track this year. Not to mention he's a -11 in 11 games in the AHL. Smith needs to fix Smith. It's no ones fault but his own.

Im a fan as well...AHL ain't helping him though. Not many players, who've been in the league as long as he has benefits from a demotion to AHL and then comes back to NHL....Can't think of any
