Facing 27 shots per game, he faced fewer shots that year than Andersen has faced in 56 games this year.

That's cute but a different situation than Andersen. There's a huge difference from the 30+ shots that Andersen faces per game. As a Leafs fan, it should be really easy to remember Brodeur once facing a grand total of 6 shots in a single playoff game.

Brodeur: 75 games played, 1,845 shots faced. (24.6 shots per game.)

Brodeur: 72 games played, 1,797 shots faced. (24.9 shots per game)

Brodeur: 40 games played, 908 shots faced. (22.7 shots per game)

Those are the three years Brodeur won the Cup. Lots of games, very few shots, relatively speaking. And with the D he had in front of him, those were some easy shots most of the time.

If the Leafs can get the shots against down to 22.7 shots per game, Andersen can play as many games as he wants.
