I really wonder if a team would ever hire John Ferguson Jr. I know everyone deserves a 2nd chance, but his first attempt at that GM'ing thingy was... - PatC80
If he’s the guy making the drafting decisions here he might very well get his second chance. I’m not really sure if he’s the guy or not though. |

We have 2 kids, a boy and a girl and yes the 7 month old girl is theeting which results in me not sleeping more than 4-5 hours every night for the last month or so.
Thank god for free Coffee at work... holy crap. - Scabby
True Wedgie story:
Just after the birth of our first kid, a new woman started in our office.
It was a weird hierarchy, where she didn't report to me, but her job essentially entailed me telling her what to do, she would take a crack at it, come back to me, and I'd tell her if I liked it or not. I was the gate keeper - I had total say.
Well, nobody had told her that I just had a kid - so she'd come into my office, and I'd struggle to put two sentences together. For her first few weeks, she was clearly frustrated - thought I was an effing moron, and wondered how I got my job, why nobody was plotting to remove me, etc.
Somebody eventually told her that I wasn't quite as stupid as she thought I was - I was just sleep deprived.
She had a couple of drinks at the Christmas party that year, and came up to me and confessed the whole story. She was worried what I would say, but I thought it was franking hilarious.
We got along famously after that. |

Not sure if having the title of Executive Director of Player Personnel means you are fully and completely responsible for drafting decisions.. Although drafting Senyshyn ahead of Barzal and Kyle Connor does appear to have the stench of JFJ to it... |

I read an article a few years ago that claimed he was doing a fantastic job and that, unfortunately for him, he simply got a GM job too soon and would most likely be much better the 2nd time around.
But yeah, it's a risky move to give him that 2nd chance.. |

I don't see how anyone can put a positive spin on JFJ's time here as the Leafs GM.... Well, maybe Tanner? |

He's a scout now for Anaheim isn't it? He likes scouting so he sticks to that. Doubt he wants the big chair job. |

He was GM of the leafs at the height of the board being puppet masters. Not sure going to Carolina with this owner is the best move for him. |

Here's a random question since we have to wait a billion years for the next game.
Quennville is now in the hot seat and people feel he'll lose his job as coach in Chicago. If you're a team without Babcock do you potentially fire your coach to hire this guy? Where do you think he lands?
My guess is Anaheim or Washington. |

See how much I care about the loser?
I have heard he's done well though so that's good for the Bruins but sad for the Leafs. |

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

Lightning G Vasilevskiy fighting fatigue
TSN.ca Staff
Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender has emerged as the Vezina Trophy favourite with a 39-12-3 record this season.
The 23-year-old admitted Wednesday, however, that the career-high 54 starts he's already made are wearing on him.
"Tiredness is something that I probably never faced before," Vasilevskiy told the Tampa Bay Times. "I mean, 50-plus games. When you play in 20-plus games, it's like you think, 'Oh, I'm good, I can play 60-plus.' But now when I'm on 50-plus, I'm like, 'That's tough.'
"So that's why sometimes I'm probably not as sharp, like (I was) probably the first half of the season. That's why I have to adjust and be on the top of my game."
But I'm sure Andersen isn't though with the modern staff and whatnot.
