The first King book I read was It...brilliant "monster" fiction
- jimi james

Same here. It was the first book I had ever read "for fun" AKA, not a school assignment. I think I was 13. I figured it was a hell of way to jump into recreational reading.
The Talisman is probably my favourite King book. So, so good.

Is book club over, or are we still reviewing Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood?

I noticed Wedgie was working really hard to lure Rick James to a beer at the ACC. Then he was probably going to offer him a ride to his hotel room. A couple of 'accidental' wrong turns and they're down at the port lands with no one around...when the mix tape is playing no one can hear you scream...

First Stephen King book I read was Salem's Lot. It was franking fantastic.

Then I read Night Shift. A real mix. Some stories were absolutely fantastic - some were really crap.

And then I read the Stand. Man, it dragged on for about 300 pages too long. I never read another Stephen King book again.

He's so hit or miss on novels because he's so prolific. I don't know if he ever stops writing.

I find his short stories to be extraordinary though.

Or Catcher in the rye.

That is quite simply the worst book I have ever bothered to finish reading. I just kept expecting it to get better or actually reach some sort of meaningful conclusion considering all the love it gets. Garbage.

Even the critics don't really call it a literary masterpiece because of it being deep or being beautiful writing, noooo, it supposedly perfectly evokes what it means to be a confused teenager or some crap.

I mean seriously? You need a book about some moron that wanders off from school, gets sexually molested by his favorite teacher and calls everyone a phony in order to understand what it means to be a teenager again? What the (frank) happened during their childhood?

The Catcher in the Rye was (frank)ing terrible. I don’t understand how anyone likes that book. Also Catch 22 blows.

What I like the most about books is how they can somehow replace a coaster to put my beer on in times of need.

I'm shocked you actually have a coffee table.

Or that you would care about a water stain on that coffee table.

I'm guessing...

I still can't believe the Statsny trade

and a first for Hartman? who the (frank) is Hartman

- jimi james

Hartman is a 23 year old grinder/rat who has scored 19 in a season and was able to move up and down the lineup.

With Nashvilles very late first they can only hope they would draft a player like that.

I made a few tile coasters with my favorite special beer labels and resin so I can then put my beer on more beer

tore through it this summer. So frickken good. Loved the book about him learning to be a gunslinger. Really wish the second book didn't start the way it did.
- Feeling Glucky?

From what i remember, i believe the Drawing of the three and wolves of calla were my favourites from the series.

Wife took the kids to Florida for a week.

It's one glorious week of not picking up my underwear off the floor.

I am living the dream.

Can you imagine the stories that guy must have about his career?
