True, I 100% agree with you. They will lose to Calgary next, and then L and M should pull out the rug from the Gary Snow Era once and for all.

Gary Snow?

Seriously, no way it's happening. They will wait until JT signs here or elsewhere before they decide to pull the plug.

This is fair 7 but Doug has caused a lot of his own problems not having a working D system and not having this team ready to play many nights. He took the job knowing full well Garth's track record and is not someone from outside.

He has changed it up from man to man to zone coverage and in the last week it’s worked as far as shots on net etc.
That said the guys got rookies playing on his back line and that’s on the GM. I love Doug as a person, have played hockey with him and I wish for him personally he didn’t take the head coaching job this year because he was going to fail with this line up regardless. Again great guy, his wife is a great person as well, and no I never have been to his house for nuggets.

Shannon Hogan: "what goes into the decision for the shootout?"

Doug Weight: "... I don't know"

He should have been fired on the spot for that.

I think your wrong, I think L and M are speaking with Brasson, JTs agent for a while now. Not Garth.

He is the assistant GM as well. Has he not asked the GM for help or does he just take out his frustrations on the press? Let's not forget the defense was lousy before the injuries. Doug is all in this with Garth.

Should have played a much more defensive game from the beginning agreed. But when your BOSS is looking to play a high pressure offensive game, your hands are tied.

Trust me this has Garf Bag written all over it. When Boychuck and Siedenburg are supposed to last 82 games then as a GM your a moron in my books.

Again Dougie gets blame as well, and again for me he never should have taken the head coaching job.

So I passed out before the game began and only caught the shootout. Should I watch it tomorrow? Was it any good?

Maybe Doug should have told Garth to keep his nose out of coaching decisions? All kidding aside, this is becoming a real problem in sports with the GM’s wanting to be GM and coach. Coaches are becoming puppets if this is true.

Very exciting. Cal Clutterbuck was only a goal and an assist away from the Gordie Howe hat trick.

Not anymore, the assistant GM or associate GM title was taken away when he took the agreed to take the head coaching job.

Missed the fight and most of the game. Doug’s post game had more than enough drama. Should be lots of fun on this blog in the AM.

Ooof. Just read in the Oilers thread that he took on Khaira. Not surprised that Cal got the worst of it. Khaira is one mean mother(frank)er.

Anything worse than the “I don’t know” comment? Not that that wasn’t bad enough.

That is the one thing that really stood out. He was very unprofessional in how he handled himself and came off like a 5 year old. If you cannot take questions from Shannon or Stan that’s bad.

That’s kinda become his thing lately. He really has no business speaking to the media anymore.

I have said it at the beginning of the season Schwein, if the Islanders are eliminated from the POs then Garth is gone.
