We are sending Boeser to the draft lottery. 2nd pick will be ours

boeser injury will cost them a few points so I can still see a bottom 3 finish in the standings, but yeah I can also see them falling down 1 or 2 spots again in the lotto.

I've accepted the fact.

Yeah I was thinking rather than sending unlucky Linden we should send our "luckiest" player to the draft instead, which in this case would be either Markstrom or Nilsson, and the reasoning is that - they're lucky that they're even in the NHL

Lets send Loui Eriksson. If we drop 2 spots again, at least his reaction will be great.

Yeah, I'm 100% on board with Zadina as well. He can flat out score goals. He's got the hockey sense, raw talent, size to be a good goal scorer in the NHL.

I think I'd have him ranked 2nd behind only Dahlin right now.

The thought of having Horvat, Boeser, Pettersson and Zadina with hopefully 1 of Dahlen/Lind panning out as well....drool.

I hope Friedman is right about teams reaching for dmen in this draft, just draft Zadina and then go heavy on defense the rest of the draft.

- Nucker101

I see Zadina as perhaps being the most NHL ready too - theres something in my gut that says don't take Tkachuk - i have no idea why. And Svech I always attribute the Russian factor to. Therefore, Zadina seems like the right choice.

But I'd add Gaudette and the hopeful gradual improvement of Virtanen to your list as well. I think those two guys will be important for us in a few years as well

There's that, but also factor in his level of luckiness - riding the gravy train on that contract, 4 more years, buyout proof, (frank) actually, send his agent!!!

in no particular order:

Zadina/Boeser/Horvat/Pettersson

and two out of the following should make it as decent top 6 forwards: Lind/ Gaudette/ Virtanen/ Dahlen. I could see Lind and Gaudette playing in our top 6 and guys like Virt/ Gadj and Dahlen as solid/ versatile 3rd liners.

Not sure where I am going with this but our forwards could be amazing

Who cares about D, it's boring

2 More painful years, then a 2020-21 Modified NTC.

Hopefully something gives before then.

Yeah, I should have added Gaudette. If Virtanen can develop into a 15 goal 3rd liner, I’d take that.

I think JV will develop into a 15g 30pt guy that hits and defends well.

Henrik Sedin has 13 primary point this year I bet at least half of those are on the PP time to retire Hank

With his speed he'll generate more than 40 pts IMO.

Not if we can just teach the kid to close a f**cking gate....

Maybe its because Tkachuk's production and season this year is pretty unspectacular and if he was Brady Ketchup instead he'd be ranked 9/10th or lower.

It'd be great in Gaudette can even make himself into Bonino, let alone the super 2nd line center some people are high on.

probably

Yeah, if Gaudette becomes a really solid 3LC, that’s still a win.

His season is good and fine, but there are a lot of scouts who are like "his time in NCAA has been okay but he rode shotgun well at the WJC plus he has the bloodline with his dad and brother" as if Keith Gretzky is second in all time scoring because Wayne was first.

Send Gaunce, hopefully he can bounce a lottery ball off his ass into the no. 1 spot.

How about we send Wellwood? I bet he isn't up to much besides his computer programming and playing League of Legends.

I miss Welly. He was fun.

Like, can anyone explain Brady Tkachuk being a top 5 pick to me?

He has 27 points in the NCAA which is fine, but nothing amazing.
He has a late birthday, missing the cutoff for last years draft by like a day or 2, and his production equivalent to his peers in college has him at mid-late first rounder.
I guess he has a frame that's easy to project a guaranteed player out of, but he's not as dynamic as his brother or as much of a poophead.
His WJC showing was pretty good.
Admittedly, he's more of a grinder than a skill player.

I just see a guy who would be in that range from like 10-20 where no one really knows who is better than each other if it wasn't for the family thing.
