Ledecky should have been making a list in the two years before he took over.

It should have been two steps.

1. fire everyone
2. hire a competent GM and let him re-staff

Than Cal Clutterbuck?

Won't give you a perennial 20 goal scorer like nino, but a 3rd rd pick for clutterbuck any day. Those hits and that stache are unbeatable. would love the guy at the right price. but ya, not for a top 6 forward like nino.

Yup, Nino was basically just a prospect. He had one year in the AHL under his belt. His one season in the NHL was not pretty, statistically speaking. What did he have? 2 goals on the season? Did he lead the league in +/- with like a -29? Now it becomes public knowledge that Nino wants out, and I could imagine a scenario where a lot of GMs had little interest in helping out Garth. With hindsight, you'd think other GMs would have realized that Nino was destined for stardom, and was just held back by the Islanders' inept organization. But then again, maybe not.....

He played 4 mins a night with Marty Reasoner. We'll agree to disagree if you think a fifth overall pick is worth Cal Clutterbuck . It was a bad trade then and a terrible trade now.

But this doesn’t make any allowances for the mysterious disappearances of Clutterbuck and Ladd.

Ugh, fine here is a more detailed list

1. The second L&M take majority control of the Isles Snow is ordered to fire everyone
2. Once Snow is done personally firing everyone he is fired
3. Snow is punched in the face and escorted out of the building
4. L&M hire a competent GM and let him re-staff
5. Hold memorial for Clutterbuck and Ladd who disappear during off season

Better?

Thanks. I was thinking who should do the punching, but I decided it would be better to leave it up to the reader's imagination.

Just tie Snow to the billboard support and let any member of the fanbase take a swing. They could also accept donations for Lee's cancer charity at the same time.

Do they ask Barnaby to come by & oversee proceedings?

Not what I said. Just pointing out that Snow and Cappy had hurt Nino's trade value by misusing and abusing him. When it becomes public that a player is unhappy and is demanding a trade, it becomes more difficult to trade him.

Barnaby was such an agitator, but ultimately a wussy. I remember a decade later when he was on the Rangers, he and Arron Asham (then an Islander) got into a scrap and Asham cleaned his clock. Barnaby sat in the penalty box and literally cried.

Will Isles fans ever forgive Brind'amour for saving Garth Snow from being turned into a turnip?

He did cry but not because he got beat up I think it was cause he was the only one who gave a poop on that team and his emotions got him. Imagine you care that much and the rest of the team are cowards and quitters
