Yesterday he didn’t play well. Today he gave up 4 breakaway goals. The second Dadonov goal was an uncontested wrister under the bar from the slot. What would you like him to do there?
The first one he sold pass and fired a shot before anyone was set. The D left him alone both times.
When guys are shooting uncontested shots on breakaways or fast breaks he’s trying to anticipate where the shot is going. To put it in perspective, Luongo had to face zero chances of that quality. - Flyers1218
Im very lenient when it comes to what is and isnt a soft or bad goal. i love the position and have played it. IMO, there was defensive pressure on the Dadonov shots to the extent that he should have positioned himself better and read shot, not deke, On both shots, his glove was too low and he wasnt able to react quick enough from that distance. His anticipation or read was poor and thats why I consider them bad goals. |

I would not consider them bad goals only in that they were mainly breakaway type shots. BUT, I really do wish he would have come up with a big save or two.

I don’t necessarily agree, but you are absolutely entitled to your opinion. I also was a forward and never played goal so you would have a better perspective. I think we both agree that Flyers goalies need to find a way to make a big momentum changing save. That has seemed to be something that has eluded their goalies the last few years. |

The good news is that I have Stamkos and Dadonov on my fantasy team.
Reality in shambles however. |

According to the radio broadcast Leier is something like a -8 in his last 12 games. Might be time to give someone else on the farm a shot. NAK? Vorobyov? Hell, I'd give both these guys a shot for a few games over Weal too. |

The first Dadanov goal leaked between his arm and his body so his glove position had nothing to do with it. I agree that is a save that should be made. The 2nd Dadanov goal was a snipe with a quick release. That's not a bad goal to give up. I thought the huberdeau goal was weak also.

The Flyers are limited to 3 call ups the rest of the season. They'll likely be cautious with that.

Gotta assume they brought up read for a reason. Would sanheim be eligible for emergency recall? |

Read was brought up for forward depth before the trade deadline so he does not count as one of the 4 call ups available. Lindblom counted as one. I don't know about Sanheim counting as an emergency recall.

Agree or not, I have to think that maybe the organization is also looking to keeping the Phantoms competitive. There is something to be said about giving some of those kids a taste of a long playoff run even if it is the AHL.
That is why I don't think there are going to be many call ups especially from a forward perspective even considering the limit. And I don't think Sanheim sees the NHL unless there is a long term injury.

Yeah if they don't have 6 defensemen it could be an emergency recall. There's a limit to how long they can be up though |

rewatched. You are right, it went between his body and arm as he dropped to his knees. I thought it beat him high. That still has to do with positioning, regardless, we and most will agree, that it was stoppable and needed to be saved. |

If the Flyers go out early and the Phantoms keep going, can they send down Patrick or Konecny? Hagg, Provorov etc? |
