Stats only observations, but hard to be losing a game where you're out-shooting a team 34-12. Good for process, but need a W.

Looks like Letang and Schultz are getting some of Ruhwedel's shifts which is easier to do with Oleksiak on the left.

Seems like a good line-up, hope they don't change it because of the lack of goals thus far.

That he is. Hornqvist needs to get in his face.

Stats-wise the Pens have utterly dominated the Isles, but the one stat IMO that's glaring is High Danger chances. The Pens have only 4.

While the Islanders have allowed a lot of shots, they've done a good job curbing the quality of the Pens chances. This partially why Gibson is looking so good. Not to take away from him, he's made some quality saves, but he hasn't seen the hard stuff.

The Pens have this. The only time you should be worried is when 13 is on the ice. I say 3-1 Pens.

Who’s tracking that. I’d count more than 4 HDCF in the first 10 mins.

We'll see. Goaltending hasn't been a strength as of late, so if Jarry isn't feeling it, he could let in a wonky goal.

He might be the most overlooked player in the league. Easily top 5 centerman in the league IMO.

Yes, I do. There's a big difference between scoring chances and high-danger scoring chances. The Islanders have done a great job of sheltering Gibson, clogging passing lanes and keeping the Pens to the perimeter.

Gibson has been able to see almost all the chances coming his way.

He's in a nasty slump. I'm not trashing him, but he looks lost. He doesn't even have a shot on net tonight.

Through the season from what I even seen, the Pens have been too slow in their play when they are in their losing persona. Doesn't matter where the shots are coming from or how many, if they are a step behind game speed then they will be insignificant. I'm only intermittently listening to this game, but how fast are the Pens playing? If a goalie has time to adjust, good chance he makes the save - no matter how many are coming at him.
