not arguing, just seems that since 2013 they draft 2-4 future NHL players and that seems pretty good to me? Opinions different than mine are fine by me.... except that guy the other day telling me Tatar was worth a 1,2,3.... he is wrong! - Brandon Smillie
" Je crois qu'il vaut des choix de 1ere, 2ième et 3ième rondes..."
" Non, je pense que Tatar..."
T'as tort...

The inability to acquire a top line C, through draft, trade or FA is the downfall... They have drafted fine in the Bergevin years, minus the Mccarron pick!
...and yes, the Tatar move was a bonehead trade indeed, no question! - obie
totally agree that the C position is where they have soiled the sheets. Poehling is hopefully the end of that trend |

Vegas drafted three first rounders last season, all classed A- prospects. They have 8 picks in rounds 1 and 2 in the next three drafts. I think they can afford it with their assets for a guy going for his 4th 20g season in a row on a poopty Wings team where he was second in goals. |

The fact they can afford it doesn't justify it, overpayment is overpayment |

Is not he projected to be a solid 3C tho? Possibly a decent 2 at the very very best?
He looks good tho. But I think we need more than a Poeling to make us a little more optimistic....but I guess you have to start somewhere... |

So when the Habs are done with him he'll be a LW on the bottom lines |

sure, 20 goal guy I acknowledge. But just not worth 1, 2, 3 rd picks to me. if he puts up 60 pts next year, remind me of this, and I will apologize sincerely and immediately |

Hopefully next year early, but likely next year late and if not then the 2019-20 I would think. |

Top C on the NCAA's top team. Has to mean something right? |

Absolutely. Hopefully we can develop him properly and transition him to the NHL level at the appropriate pace.
Our best C prospect in a long while.
Just worries me that they don’t play as much as CHL players. Not sure this teams love affair with USHL and NCAA. Just means another project |

Agreed.
Galchenyuk was supposed to be that #1 Centre for the Habs.
He should still be but they'd rather put him on the (frank)ing wing. |

Absolutely!! That just seems like forever ago already.
Chucky should be given the chance to thrive and fail so he can learn. Not made feel bad and watch others make the same or more mistakes and keep the spot that he should have.

He should of been given all those top line minutes that went to DD the last 5 years |

What’s wrong with giving little Dave 155 straight games, no questions asked.....then Chucky ten games and straight to the 4th line? Lol
What a joke |
