55 and 90 with those nice stat padding PP points where they literally did nothing.

Overall good game from 71, 29, 20.

Everyone is female doging up a storm.
Sabres are on a good path
This team was built to pick early

We need a half dozen more decent players

- Boss34

I agree on that. I think if you swap out some bottom six guys with actual contributors and that's almost an instant upgrade right there.

Playoffs, well let's hold off on that, but not purely embarrassing.

Originally people thought Reinhart was mature beyond his years, going to be a good player, Captain material...although the stats are there, if I had a do over, he's in the AHL just learning to be a pro.

That's what I meant about humility, ensuring he comes in with a humble attitude to learn.

I should have specified that, I didn't mean he seems entitled. Just want to take steps to avoid that.

I highly trust Botts to put him where he deserves to start. Not worried at all.

Sabres need to win every once in a while, realize they're not just a huge pile of poop all the time. I for one don't have it in me to beg for losing, again and again. Hope we win Dahlin, won't pray to lose though.
- TheSabresTaco

Agreed, when they win I’m fine with it too, maybe not playing full out tank finally gets us the first pick...

Kane was obviously the problem, only 18 points out of the .. Wild Card? Is that what that thing is called now
- mattmoulson

Sabres have won 2 out of the last 3 with out Kane.

The last 2 vs. Top teams.
Boston
Tampa.

So far so good

Final score is what counts for the team . Most are remembered for the wins . not how its played .

If he's ready bring him up. There's no reason to keep him down if he's dominating. He's just going to get lazy. Not intentionally, he just won't have to work as hard and his skills will dull, so that when he does come up he'll have a huge adjustment.
- Wetbandit1

Like I said, i wouldnt normally want to agree with that train of thought, but Id rather have him in college if we are going to be a last place team again (or close to it). I dont want them to bring him up just to sell tickets..

That's part of the reason why I'm patient with Botts, I see what he's doing. I like it.

I know I keep hammering the point, but in terms of effort from some of our younger players on the Sabers...they need to go.

Botts needs to make sure these kids in the AHL are working their tails off so they bring that with them.

If everyone is marching to one drum and a player on the big club isn't...get rid of him. I don't care if there is no return (I'd like one for sure but I'm not holding a POS in my locker room because I want a return) waive him, the message sent to the team is more important long term than the short term loss of points, etc.

You suffer what you tolerate.

team needed a shakeup

botts responded by moving a pick for wilson, and playing the kid here and there

IMO he needed to move a body to make a point to the locker room

Moved player might have been meant for the off season. Something we aren't used too. Trading players for picks this time of year gets us nothing but picks (5 yrs away). I'm willing to see what he has in mind and does .

If that was the case . I think he might have moved someone unexpected besides Kane .

This place was burned to the (frank)ing ground when we weren't compensated for Kane how we believed we should have been. I can't imagine just dropping guys. That's just sadistic.

Jbotts needs to hit on our high first again

Mitts looking good
Wilson was a steal
Scandella and pommer for Foligno and Ennis- good move
Finding a team to take Kane - excellent

He's going to bring in some key college free agents
