buffalo offers him the best opportunity to skate in the top-four consistently than almost any team...they may also offer him more money and a longer term than any other team...doesn't mean he'd sign with the sabres, but they have that much going for them.
- Michael Pachla

Let’s start a gofundme to throw as much $ at him as possible. We will call it a “community bonus” to show him our unquestionable loyalty.

your attitude blows guy
- U Sir Name

Hey, I wanted us to sign Kane
Freaking out isn’t gonna change that though

J Botts got the best return he could
I wish it was more,
but i guess no one would bite

Disappointing,
but hardly worth being so upset
It is what it is

Here's a little ray of sunshine for us Sabre fans: When Seattle is awarded their team, we probably won't have give up a good player in the expansion draft...

Right. I agree with your post here. I was just stating that you can't simply say Casey is not as good as Jack because Jack had more ppg in college. Casey and Jack were on two completely different teams. Jack might have been surrounded by better talent while at Boston U, thus the higher ppg.

In the end, I think we see Casey as our 2C, not Jack's winger. Casey seems too creative and skilled with the puck not to be at center. We'll find better wingers for both of them over the next year or two, I'm sure.

next year's another evaluation/throw-away year then, I believe, the cba is up and there will be another lockout...2020 isn't that far away and for us older folks, time does move faster as we get older...

think of it, seems like it was just last week that Pegula bought the sabres

- Michael Pachla

Why can't we be like Toronto next year?

Nylander - Nylander
Marner - Casey
Matthews - eichel
Kadri- ror
Reilly - risto
Guhle
2018 pick.

Even if the left side is better than the right side, how far of a reach is it?

I think when Bott talked about us being bad at home and the whole kids day meltdown, housley had to be part of that blame. I think he’s on thin ice
- MCGUIZZY

I found the while kids day thing odd. They've been terrible at home all year but you get pissed when they play bad in front of a bunch of five year olds stuffing sugar down their throat who have barely any interest in the game? Frank you. As a season ticket holder I've been pissed since game one.

So GMJB Says that was the only offer he got for Kane and not ONE offer for any of the other Sabres players .

WTF

There was only like 12-15 trades today
Doesn’t look like many teams were able to trade their depth players at all

If I'm him I go to the best team that gives me a chance to play. You can always play for a crappy team like ours.
- Frizzlefry

His best chance to play might very well be with us.

Guhle
Mitts
Nylander

I was hoping for more but it is what it is . Missing our top 2 players for the next few weeks is gonna suck.
In the bad way.

I also found it strange to single those two games out. Aren't kids more interested in concessions, Sabretooth and phones than to game on the ice anyway?

Good. Because I wasn't serious.

Although I do highly doubt that JB could get anything of value for him.

- PrinceChill

I still have faith in JB.. he inherited a dumpster fire. I remember when GMTM was just being brought on and how all the analysts were always going on about the Sabres and all the picks and prospects, full cupboard, best in the league, etc.. Doesn't even feel that long ago. Fack.

No one wants our poop players. We're the same team with one less problem player; heading towards a large roster turnover. Have an influx of youth next year, maybe a couple free agent signings in the off-season, a top pick, and who knows what else happens at the draft.

I think GMJB is the guy we need to salvage this team.

Next year barring any buyouts 20% of the cap is taken up by Bogo, Moulson and Pominville

I wouldn't put too much stock in Ullmark just yet, he'll have some growing pains...Nylander is a big question mark right now...guhle's ready and mitts may be able to have an impact on the wing in the top six
