If we are ever going to win a cup, we will need to sit through another TOTAL rebuild.

You cannot patch up this roster and make them winners. Quick patches will leave us the same as we were 2010-Pegula, perennial middlers who will never be more than a first round sweep

Botts hasn't even extinguished the dumpster fire, much less clean it up build a new one.

I know, maybe weed will be legal by the time they’re good. You’ll be able to smoke in the Connolly casino too 🤙🏻

Maybe u strike out when u could’ve walked though

It would be one thing if GMTM had a better success rate with all the moves he made...

The ONLY one u could consider a success is the O’reilly trade
And even that’s debatable

Also,
If he would’ve just “stuck out looking”
we would have all those assets still that he essentially wasted

- jdfitz77

I did not say that I liked the trades. i said I applauded them.

Jason Botterill ' "offers weren't there for our other free agents". This confirms that nobody wanted to pony up for our trash.

We have plenty of time to look for that, seeing as we are going to be rebuilding for a while. A 30 year old Kane is what we would have had when we are ready to try and compete.
- Zschalberg

If that’s gonna be the timeline...
then i could probably get on board with those who say ROR should be traded

Tunnel Vision.

GMTM wanted Grit and size.

Murray was reckless in the worst ways. Set us back a decade. Officially the worst mistake in Sabres history

well we now know they go for cheap..
- Sabresfan-365

Well when they have too much melanin get labeled a punk for putting hoards of cash on their back in Vegas, fly to Toronto from Buffalo for the NBA All Star game and miss a practice and have some sort of trouble in a bar it exacerbates your punk label. Drive through a Tim Hortons, you're a leader; kill a guy drunk like Danny Heatley and the punk label never sticks. There are a lot of punks in the NHL and other pro leagues but for some reason Kane gets preached to on TSN and Sportsnet. That is why he goes on the cheap, not ability.

I'm done with Kane, he was better than many on this board gave him credit for but the Sabres sucked with him, they can suck without him.

This is the one of the reasons I said Orielley should be moved.

By the time we can compete he will be a third line center at best making the same money he is making today.

GMTM is going to go down as the case study for why you cannot rush a rebuild

#Sharks GM Doug Wilson: "Evander is one of the top young power forwards in the NHL. He is a dynamic player who has a unique combination of size, grit, speed and goal-scoring ability. We wanted to add a player that could help this team but also was just hitting his prime."

Notice the word "unique." It's almost like Doug Wilson plagiarized my comments about him. Oh well, he's gone and the Evander Kane era is over in Buffalo. Now, the Sabres will try to find a "dynamic" and "unique" power forward with scoring ability.

Doug Wilson .... like me judges Kane as "unique"

Tim Murray was so reckless and had so much stone yet he didn't have the balls to offersheet Kucherov?

I agree.

BED's 'swings and misses' have set us back even further and all by himself lengthened our playoff drought.

His resume is littered with F's !

- Over50

100% correct

Not surprised he’s without a job right now
Maybe he can be Milburry’s stand in

There is no allegedly, he has a reputation and this proves it.

Teams are afraid of him.
GM's know more than we do about what happened in Winnipeg, and if things happened in Buffalo.

My thoughts too
GMTM seemed like a big enough d!ck to do it
If we had gotten Kucherov...
probably would’ve saved his job
