To me the only "bad" thing about it is the condition on the 1st. I figured a 1st and a prospect, maybe a bit better than O'Regan, but I wouldn't sleep on him.

I'm, I don't want to say "pissed" because I don't have strong feelings either way, but the fact he didn't trade Pouliot is not good. He's the exact player that gets dealt on deadline day, a cheap, overachieving player for a 3rd. IDC about ROR or Reinhart, those aren't deadline deals. Reinhart possibly, but it would be stupid to sell low, if he can finish strong then we can say the first half of the season was an aberration.

if they can re-sign benoit cheap then its whatever. I would have preferred the lottery ticket

Let’s just win this lotto
That’ll jump start us towards the playoffs

Dahlin is gonna be a stud

You have a 12% chance. You can say we're due, but honestly I wouldn't count on it. It would really help, though. I'm expecting the 5th pick, and we'll see what Botteril can do with that. Then it's hoping Smith, Nylander, Mittlestadt, Borgen, Guhle, Ullmark are all as good as we need them to be to see if we can be better than last next year.

For the record, I don't want Samson going anywhere.
We haven't seen the best of Sam yet.

GMTM literally was wrong with just about EVERY move he made

U still defending him is laughable

- jdfitz77

I think that you know I couldn't agree more!

Everyone here knows that I knew the guy was a BED from the moment he arrived here.

Id honestly prefer 5th to say 3rd. easier for them to grab a d-am with upside instead of a winger.

They only thing that TM did was actually have the stones to make trades. I do not fault him for swinging and missing. I will always rather go down swinging, then to strike out with the bat on my shoulders.

I'll drive him to the airport myself for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Hahaha
I expect more from Sam.
I obviously could be wrong but, I wouldn't give up on Samson yet.
Just my opinion.

There's no guessing you were wrong, you were wrong. You aren't the GM so it doesn't really matter. What does matter is the GM of the team was way wrong and looks like a moron for having shoot for the stars expectations and getting what he got in return. Bad business and I'm sure he turned off a lot of GM's just like the organization did when they fired GMTM for not firing Bylsma.

You're pinning this on Botts, but without knowing the other offers for Kane we have no clue what happened before. Maybe this was the best offer all year. Maybe it wasn't. But we have equal reason to believe either way since none of us know.

#Sharks GM Doug Wilson: "Evander is one of the top young power forwards in the NHL. He is a dynamic player who has a unique combination of size, grit, speed and goal-scoring ability. We wanted to add a player that could help this team but also was just hitting his prime."

Notice the word "unique." It's almost like Doug Wilson plagiarized my comments about him. Oh well, he's gone and the Evander Kane era is over in Buffalo. Now, the Sabres will try to find a "dynamic" and "unique" power forward with scoring ability.

Well then you should be happy today. We went down because of swinging whereas we'd be on base otherwise. The analogy is actually perfect, Murray swung at just about anything and they were egregious misses. These were a foot wide and his eyes were closed on half the swings.

Sabres PR tweets out 2019 4th rounder and 2019 1st (conditional). We heard 2020 4th before, but I would take that 4th if possible

2019 1st stays if they win the cup too. GO SHARKS!

Edit: 4th rounder is 2019, if Sharks want to push it, it becomes a 2020 3rd rounder

We have plenty of time to look for that, seeing as we are going to be rebuilding for a while. A 30 year old Kane is what we would have had when we are ready to try and compete.

I agree.

BED's 'swings and misses' have set us back even further and all by himself lengthened our playoff drought.

His resume is littered with F's !
