People like gudbransons signing. People like green. People like linden and benning. People have said they are ok with vanek past TDL. People are ok the sedins being re-signed a year or two longer. If you are ok with any of the above, you are a pom pom waver. Cause no change = constant path of not only mediocrity, but failure, as we have seen.

Anyone who believes we are 3 years away from being competitive, or a few pieces away from competitive. Anyone who thinks trevor has the slightest clue into anything management related. Anyone who thinks we should keep vanek past 12:01 tomorrow. Anyone who is ok with mediocrity. Any of the above. Fair?

Friends that are oiler fans were rubbing it in on me when lucic picked the oilers over the nucks and I laughed and said he will play himself out of the league in 2 to 3 years and they all said I was nuts

Im not mad. Im just not complacent with mediocrity and i am not dumb enough to think evander kane is going to be a good signing savior.

I believe any team can be three years away from being competitive as long as idiots aren't running the show
- VANTEL

I also think the term competitive is subjective. But i don't want to split hairs here.

Cue the Lucic lovers who wanted us to sign him. For the record not I but I did want a few other UFA’s who are not great either.

Yeah, but who is happy with mediocrity??

quick answer - no one.

people just see things from a different angle (doesn't make them wrong/you right).

Kane could very well help the team, but again it's just a wee bit of an exaggeration to suggest he's a saviour. I highly doubt anyone here thinks he is that

All i suggest is look past the obvious of our current situation. By that look to the prospects & who we will have down the road. Say in 2-3 years what will we look like

If you arent happy with mediocrity then why not embrace change? You have vanek who was acquired to be flipped, yet our fanbase talks of resigning, mentoring, etc. You sign stop gaps, but then talk about resigning vets. I have heard people talk about the cost od re-acquiring hansen ffs.

The future is still up in the air. Every pick could make an impact, but it is as likely that prospects will never make a mark in the NHL.

Competitive to me is not doormats.
Winning or losing is subjective.
How we lose is my focus & looking into the why’s & whats of it. Sure we look horrible now & for some its been too long already but thats why developing & not rushing prospects is even more important. We are in a downturn after cup runs & the fact of it is apparent & not many teams can ckaim the same. In fact the term on the rise or trending up is overused & mainstream but still only 1 team will hoist the cup in the enf

i guess i just don't know who you're talking about and don't think it's as black/white as you make it out to be.

i'm fine with signing Guddy. WAs happy with the moves at the last tdl (aka embracing change).
Was glad we moved on from Wille and liked the Green signing (still do).
i think changes need to be made, but don't think we need/can do a complete tear down.

and i guess i just don't see the point in getting angry over it all.
