I see the discourse has evolved from "alpha males" to "get rid of the twins" to "pom poms". Place gets more ridiculous every week. In a way I kinda hope there are no Canuck trades just see if the collective raging can crash Ek's site. |

The point being nash's skill set isn't limited to only scoring. - belcherbd
Donāt think you can call him a āscorerā anymore though...
Iām not saying he isnāt a valuable player, especially to a team making a playoff run, but what he did 15 years ago (as Whitey points out) is really irrelevant to what he provides today. |

I donāt get this line of thinking.
Youād rather see your team fail to do what it wants just to see strangers freak out online?

I like the trade for the Bruins.
Nash isn't the same player he once was but he still shows flashes of dominance and that's all it takes in the playoffs often. Boston as much as I disliked them over 2011 series have always been a team that elevate their game come playoffs and Nash might respond well.
They didn't give up much for a potential game breaker and got rid of a terrible contract. good deal for both sides. - belcherbd

The only way the Guddy signing made any sense was if they were moving Tanev before next season starts. - belcherbd
5% of the cap going forward is not a big deal. Iād suggest we see how matters evolve. No expectations this year or next. |

Or they think Edler-Guddy and X-tanev can be a competitive top 4. Don't forget that our Owner, and therefor management group, always want to try and compete for Playoffs. Tanev I could see traded in the offseason, but I don't see it happening for lowball offers. - Retinalz
I recall JB wants D back in return.
I cannot see us thinking picks will be the way to go. So a good young offensive D is a part of a good package. |

Good question Nucker, thanks for asking.
Personally and only my opinion but I would like to see the Sedins retire 1st and foremost. The time has come even with putting up a 50 point season each.
Then I would like the team to sell off Hutton, Stecher, Edler, Goldobin, Granlund, maybe a few others for picks. These guys struggle at the NHL level and pace.
I would give Green another year to show he can compete, but so far he is doing worse than Desjardin and Torts with an arguably better lineup.
So again these are what I would like, but do I need to repeat it 75 times a day, and bash management and players. - Makita
Iām down for all of that especially no more of the incessant whining to the latter |

that's a lot of turnover
I wouldn't mind seeing it, but i would be shocked if we made that many moves.
Personally, i'd like the Sedins to retire, make a couple signings, bring up a few kids, play a faster game. - dbot

You forgot to mention a few more bounces and not being so unlucky with injuries
But I guess that's so obvious it doesn't need to be mentioned... - belcherbd
Play nhl 19 with injuries turned off, the canucks desperately need that real life cheat code. |

Not really. Iād love for JBās moves to all work out and end up with a giant egg on my face.

I have butchered the Canucks lineup with trades and still made playoffs in NHL 18. The coding in that games GM is (frank)ed up. |

the canucks always get a boost in that game.
I'm glad they finally speed up simming in gm mode, and let you turn off the scouting notification. |

I never noticed you can turn off scouting notification. how do you do that?
It is so hard to get a top 5 pick in that game sometimes. |
