What cost really?! Two guys who were AHLers? The second that is closer to a third?!
And lets not forget its Montreal. Those fackers will blow the pick going off the board for some lical french kid who retires after his Q days are done!! - Roadrunner75
..hopefully ..I think I was responding to the cost of hammer? ...speaking of which. .I'm hammered ..we're better today with the trade ...hate that franking 2nd tho. .but that's the cost of business. .Winnipeg was on him too..as was San Jose and pens earlier! .. |

The pens are proof that good coaching, a high end attack, and average D can win a cup. The Bruins are absolutely beatable. Let the offense be the D in the playoffs. Although, JVR could still be moved for someone. Wish Mike green was on the radar. Get as many puck moving D as possible. - cranktheradio
If you want the offensive JVR to be the D you're in a world of hurt. |

I thought Bruins fans liked Spooner and now he's a cap dump the same as Beleskey...
I hope Nash ends up like Iginla 2.0 for them - markmark
I hope he's more of a vanek in montreal |

Likely by the draft get the second back though. Rights to JVR. Bozak could be moved in a package now too = to a second rnd pick. - Roadrunner75
Sure..That said the Leafs dont need 2nd round picks at this point in game.. |

Ya. .nice add..but that second ..letestu 4th. .leafs traded a second. .years ago for Yannick p which eventually became josi. . - MR.Hunter
More of a third this year...Letestu is NOT the defensive player that Plecanec's is. Nor, even, the offensive player. Wish the pens would waited on this to see if they could have moved Cole + for Bozak... Would have helped both teams. Cole was really missed last night. Think there's anyway the Leafs can grab him off of Ottawa. Midround pick and a little salary dump might do it. He plays REALLY well as a shut down guy in an offensive minded system. Plus, fills in well in the top 4. |

Adds center depth which is needed and Plek has been a solid veteran for years, plus retaining salary is nice addition |

I don't see Nash adding much. I HATE that trade for the Bruins. Why not go for Kane with what they just gave up. |

With the amount of talented young players we Have, giving away a 2nd isn't a huge issue for the Leafs, so agreed |

They are both RFA's and neither is going to sign a minor league deal meaning they would have to go through waivers.
Have you thought of that, huh..HUH? - bobbyisno1
To be honest, I haven't thought of Valiev or Rychel at all.
Not before the trade...
...and certainly not after the trade. |

This was a fine trade. Most teams need to be willing to give up a second round pick to acquire any player half way decent. Rychel is a low ceiling prospect.
Bozak isn't being moved. The Turtleneck is the Center depth the team needed going into the playoffs. |

I want the offensive attack and zone time to cover up defensive deficiencies.... Also, isn't Winnipeg still looking for a center? Bozak for a D and a mid pick? |

Once Plekanec goes through decontamination of Hab cooties, he can be a useful player down the stretch and playoffs. |

Nash has a good two way game but floats a lot in the offensive zone without the puck |

Leafs currently on pace for 106 points - which would be their highest total ever, beating 2003-04's 103 points.
