No doubt. I don't have that big an issue with spending to improve. I have an issue with what the assets were spent on.

Plecky is a good acquisition and Baun sounds like a solid prospect.

Montreal gets some needed youth. Valiev will get a chance as will Rychel there.

Have to figure Bozak may be moved. I doubt Moore goes anywhere. Plecky wasnt acquired as a fourth line and Bozak isnt an energy type.

Plekanec is one of the best defensive centres in the league, if the “the” best. He has not lost a step when it comes to speed.

Toronto can play him against the oppositions top line and he will do his job. Shut them down. Then unleash Matthews or kadri against weaker lines.. the price was high but that’s a huge trade for Toronto. Huge

well we have a ton of prospects and a ton of youth in the ahl and nhl level. plus another 2nd. nothing to be up in arms about. trading picks is never popular i suppose but amount to f all.

if we werent already a young team on the rise with one of the brightest futures, yea id be pissed over trading a 2nd for pleks. but its not 2015 anymore.
