There has been absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Dubas and Hunter are good at finding gems deep in the draft.

I'm not saying this to be a negative Nelly - those picks may someday pan out.

But to date, absolutely no indication whatsoever that they have any magical formula to draft good guys late.

It goes both ways as well, if the Leafs have this god like drafting team, then they know if anyone in the late 2nd round is worth drafting at all

I'd give him rest too, home ice advantage is meh

However, if they win tonight they have a real chance at catching TB with their schedule. A Columbus or Isles 1st round would be a bit better

Dermott looks pretty good. That’s the only one that has planned out to date but it’s still early.

Flip side konecky looks good too, but leafs have a lot of similar players to him and need defence prospects, so all and all I like that move.
