It's called the Rockets de Laval now.
Get with the times!
Love the return we got for Plecky.... it's exactly what we could have hoped for.
Yet it's always sad to see a long time player, especially one who contributed so much, leave just before playing his 1000th game with the team. - Scabeh
Meh.....no one really cares where there ahl team plays....except the two ahler lifers you got in the trade |

Say we move out JVR for a 1st, 2nd, and a quality young center who can slot into a sheltered role next year on the 3rd line:
Assuming Matthews is back in time for round 1:
Hyman Matthews Nylander
Marleau Kadri Marner
Kapanen Bozak Brown
Moore/Leivo Plekanec Komarov
Does this really look that worse without JVR in the lineup? Obviously we lose a net front option on the PP, but Marleau wouldn't look terrible there either.
That 3rd line looks hella more responsible than one with JVR on it too. - gravyface
Yes it does look worse
But it won't happen....so it's all good |

I'm sure they're really glad our AHL team isn't in St-John anymore. |

Talking to some around the league, Toronto, while very stealth, have been fairly active looking for a d-man beyond McDonagh, whom they still like. Josh Leivo is available; could be packaged for a blueline add |

you lost to the Leafs and the Sabres, and you gave up a better player in Spooner for a player past his prime....
I think you should have a sit down talk wit UG today.. |

Yes BUT... all the players they gave up are HORRIBLE and the picks will never amount to anything.
But also, NYR fleeced Boston and got a really good roster player, a grinder, a TOP D prospect and some top quality picks. |

Step in the right direction. Next the turtleneck. Then at least I can watch the game without the taste bile in the back of my throat. |

I really do think the Leafs might make a splash here for a D, but Lou will be creative. One of the UFAs could very well be dealt in the process |

Yeah, the 2nd rd pick the Leafs gave up will turn into Roman Josi. The 1st rd pick the Bruins gave up will end up being Alexander Daigle. It's already been decided by UG |
