This isnt that anymore. We can spare a 2nd rounder. Weve had many the last few years and still have another this year. 2nd round picks have been plenty the last few years. Now if the Leafs trade a 1st...or a top prospect....ill be pissed.

I haven't questioned anything the Leafs have done since the creation of ShanaLouCock. But this one has me stumped. Gave up Valiev, Rychel and 2nd for this garbage.

Don't see the problem. We gave up a winger who will never make the team, and at 23 and seemingly regressing, will likely spend 80% of his career in the minors, and a guy that may have one day been a decent 5-7 defender, but is behind at least 3 other guys currently on the Marlies.
The only thing that hurts is the 2nd rounder, and it's not even the best 2nd rounder we had.
His horrific ex-habness aside, he's (all-around) a better player than Boyle was last year, half of what we needed, and cost pretty much the same.
I'll admit I didn't even look at the Habs roster when thinking of a good 4C, because, hell, they're the Habs.
Works for me though.
