Rychel and Valiev had no future in Toronto, both well down the deoth chart. When I say Valiev on the Marlies a few times I was wholly unimpressed.

A rental Plekanec for a second seems like the kind of deal you expect at the deadlne. Both teams did OK with this one.

I really enjoyed the two recent buzzer beater wins by the Leafs. It's Opposite Leafs. I still can't believe we traded Clarkson and Phaneuf, and I still can't believe the Leafs are winning close games in the third, OT and games decided by the lameout.
